I really wanted an original parts specimen, so I went Field grade this time. I did not want any replacement slide. I got what I wanted, original finish. The Colt slide looks almost like worn bluing. |

RGN 44001, contacted yesterday. Theee grades available, Service, Field, and Rack. Chose a service. The Wife wanted "a pretty one". I wanted a Field, but there's no promise Service grade will be available when she gets contacted. So, she'll get a Field or Rack and we'll trade. I received a Field Grade in Round 2.
Got the shipping notice this morning. |

Navy FOIA back. Looks like it spent most of its time at Subic Bay, before going to Crane and then Anniston.

Keep posting y'all 1911s. They all look great! |

Friend FOIA’d his CMP pistol. It turned out it was aboard USS Alabama until 1997, then NSWC Crane until 2009. Attached File

Nice looking pistol!
I'm glad that all grades are coming with idiot marks. |

Two days ago I received their response, with records for a different serial number (not the serial number I requested). I'll try again. |

I don't think there are any rebuild marks. The trigger guard has three markings: a 6 on the left front , a K right front, and a Z right rear. Rebuild marks are 2 or three letters, right? |

Wife picked up her Field Grade today. RR frame/Colt slide
Serial number puts it within the last 50K produced by RR in 1945. Will see how the finishes look side by side when I get home with the Colt/RR Service grade I got two weeks ago and maybe swap slides. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

RGN of 4437X, RR/RR field Grade. I'm not a huge 1911 aficionado but from what Ive collected its correct frame/slide/bbl and likely not been refinished. Was hoping for something with rack numbers on the grip, but am happy with what I received. Attached File |

Anyone know how many they are shipping a week? It's seems this batch is much slower than the earlier ones. It looks like I'm still 1200 or so away.

ZERO arsenal rebuild markings. Has late grips and 1985-dated barrel. S/N is 1.6M , so no S/N under FP retainer ( I checked). " /> " /> |
