In the meantime I may send the barrel out for a choke tube install, cause why not? |

It's a Tacstar adapter. They are pretty heavy, but they are inexpensive and have a quick detach sling swivel. If weight is an issue, Ergo makes a plastic one that is lightweight, but no QD attachment point nor does it look as pleasing to the eye.
I had to hollow one out ever so slightly, but to fit a Chinese made (Civet-12) shotgun. I have a Remington 870 Tac-14 DM inbound to me, so I will definitely be getting another and hopefully it fits without any work. |

Waiting on stamp to finish a 1100 Special. Hopefully will get to post pics soon. Here’s what she’s starting as.
Attached File Going 12” for 33” total. Trying to decide for sure on the screw in chokes depending on how recoil is with slugs I may shorten just enough to throw a decelerator pad on but being auto she’ll soak up quite a bit. Going to add a VC +1 and big button safety. Got a 26” VR barrel so the 21 will stay uncut. Luckily the 12” mark is the same rib the mid bead is so just going to run it for now. Got to add a sling swivel on the rear. Should be similar to this when done. Attached File |

VR barrel with a Cutts comp begging to be cut down. The “toe” of the butt stock is chipped about am inch from the pad, which suggests to me cutting a couple of inches there as well. Could be a nice compact package when done. |

View Quote Ports may need enlarged but from my research the majority of all barrels ran the same diameter regardless of length so while I may have to I may not. That said it’s an extremely easy job if it needs it just work in extremely small increments. Mines 2 3/4 only so I don’t really have to tune for the wide range the magnum guns needed. I figured with removable tubes I could run Cylinder with slugs or flite control or swap to a mod/full of I wanted to run bird shot for something. The English stock really catches the eye I always preferred them but hard to find them on autos Remington discontinued them after a rather short time span of only about ten years or so during which they weren’t exactly common. Trying to find one in a 20 to go with the 12. I wanted to do a old 11 whip-it gun but the 1100 fell in so it got it first. After I decided on the project I discovered that photo online of exactly what I had planned. Waiting game on the paperwork at this point. Instead of two days for my prints to get there it took seven this time. |
|
|
Also if shortening the stock perfect time to fit it properly shorten enough that once a pad is added it falls in where you want it. Most tend to run a touch long in my experience that is.

Got the Serbu in yesterday. Super glad I got it when I did, since I heard Mark got out of the Super Shorty game. |

I went the other way around and started with an A5 before thinking about the 1100. I actually got interested in the whippet idea after seeing a really nice Model 11 for sale in the used rack at Cabellas. (And seeing examples here).

Looks good heard 870/1100 extensions worked but required a spacer was that what you used? If I could find a barrel and magazine I’ve got access to a donor receiver.

View Quote 1100 was tested this morning she’s not quite finished have to do some finishing work still in progress. That said I tested it and runs great with everything from 2 3/4” light loads to slugs and buck. Keep in mind mind mine started as a 2 3/4 only gun a magnum may require more work. |

After too long of a wait i finally was able to bring my Benelli M1 Super 90 Entry home yesterday. It came with a 14 inch barrel, pistol grip stock and ghost ring sights. The only thing I want to add is a limbsaver butt pad and qd sling attachments, other then that I am keeping her stock.
