I had an idea I wanted to try out. Its hard to tell, but thats an Esstac tall double rifle pouch in the back. I wanted to try out stacking another mag or two on it. I decided to use the pistol mag pouch on it to hold a flash light. I really like this, I think its going to end up costing me money because I want a short mag pouch instead of the tall, and Esstac pistol mag pouch too while I'm at it. Esstac pouch attached with one wrap too. I was skeptical about the one wrap but I've had a pouch attached with it on another belt and its held up to daily use really well.
The IFAK holder is missing the actual pouch because it stays in the glove box. I need to assemble another so I can return it to the belt. Attached File |

Why stack when you have the extra real estate to go single?

You just leave the WT belt attached all the time, then you can put the whole thing on at once and have it be secure. The grippy material on the inside works pretty dang well. Buy once, cry once. Do your research and figure out the exact model that meets your needs. Think ahead re: threaded barrels, will you ever own a long slide version of the pistol, lights, dots. etc. Once you know what you want, check eBay to see if you can find any used models. I have done this a couple of times and ended up with exactly what I needed for $80-90. This one is incoming as I type. I recently learned that a SL ALS made for a Sig P320 w/X300U fits a CZ P-10C w/X300U. Attached File |

Looking at setting up a belt for competitions and classes but I don't want to drop a ton of cash. As such, the AWS LAB Belt is pretty appealing to me. Appears to be a 1.75" belt, does that cause any problems with holsters and pouches?
Looks like I could get some esstac pouches and use one wrap but what about the holster? I've got a bunch of safariland holsters, hangers, and QLS stuff but it's all for duty belt size (2.25"). I'm not really interested in dropping the money on a True North and I don't really think I'd like it anyway. |

Lol, well that's certainly priced much more in my range for a fun belt. I'm just not sure I'd like it and I definitely don't like using a thigh strap. I was hoping there was something similar to the UBL but for a 1.75" belt. In the meantime, I did just find this RDR Gear Adapter that'll probably work until I can figure out something better. |

Over the last few years I went from a UBL/QLS to a True North/QLS to a Wilder/QLS, to now running a Bang Hanger/QLS. Will fit thick duty belts down to 1.5" belts, it's light, it's way more comfortable than the more rigid mounting options but still makes for a good clean draw, and at $60 it's affordable. Paired with the Shaw swivel leg strap I'm running, it's great, all day on the range running and gunning has never been more comfortable with a pistol strapped on, and sitting, moving around in general is much better. I cheaped out on buying pre-cut Reese wraps for it, and ghetto wrapped the Bang Hanger with some scraps from when I wrapped a holster, so it ain't pretty, but it does hide most of the exposed Tegris (love the material properties, but hate the look of exposed Tegris). |

Have you considered one of the dual purpose pouches like Spiritus and others make? Mags in the back, general use pouch in the front. I like my JSTA pouch but think a zipper is the way to go over the velcro. Midwest Armor and Shepard Associated make them in a few different sizes, I'm probably ordering the 1xAR mag pouch from Midwest soon. I don't even have a battle belt, I just slide it onto my daily belt. Carry gun is at 3:30-4, spare mags (dual BFG pouch) at 8:30 and the JSTA with a Lunar 1r1 insert in front of that. This gives me 1 AR mag, 2+1 pistol mags, whatever I have in the pouch and it takes like 5 seconds to slide it on my belt. |

There are probably similar products by other makers. I really think a zipper is the way to go over the velcro, the JSTA really pulls the bottom of the pouch up when I open it. It does allow me to put a canteen in and wrap the lid around it though.

Hey fellas not sure whether to start my own thread or join in on this one. Looking to start with a war belt and add a chest rig / pc down the road. This is my first go at more than just a iwb holster ect and looking to do it right and not waste money but have a buy once attitude. I’m currently looking at g-code stuff and just getting a full setup from them, but I don’t see a lot of their stuff posted on here so was wondering if there is a reason for that?
I’d like to have a belt, holster, two pistol mags, one rifle mag and blow out kit for sure. Maybe a pair gloves on a hanger and pistol suppressor pouch I could throw on as needed. At this point it’ll be just for taking classes and range sessions. I might make a separate thread down the road before I order and have more questions. |

View Quote I just ordered everything from Esstac and was very pleased with how it turned out. Used the one wrap method of attachment which has been discussed here. |

View Quote Pretty much what I did, too. I ordered one of their med kits, also. But I didn't like how to attaches vertically, so I ordered one from Wilder Tactical. It's a great pouch and can be attached with One Wrap. But I think I like the one from LTC, better. I haven't ordered it, yet. But I'm going to build another belt utilizing my P226. My current one is for my 1911 (still waiting on the holster and mount to arrive). It's in Multicam. The one for my P226 wsill be in Multicam Black. Here's everything I bought for my first belt: Esstac Shooter's Belt 1.75" Esstac 1911 Triple Pistol GAP KYWI Pouch Esstac Double 5.56 Midlength KYWI Pouch Esstac Belt Mounted Elastic Tourniquet Holder (my med pouch also holds a TQ, but I wanted a second one on the belt Wilder Tactical Urban Assault Belt Pad (this replaces the inner belt on the Esstac Shooter's Belt) Wilder Tactical Med Pouch 2.0 It's all mounted using Velcro Once Wrap. For my 2nd belt, I'll be going with a dual pistol mag pouch and single AR mag pouch. But the belt and belt pad will be the same, along with the extra tourniquet. The holster will obviously be for a different gun (as will the pistol mag pouches). And as I said, I'll probably be going with the med kit pouch from LTC. |

It goes on the outer belt and stays there. The inside of the Wilder Tactical belt is neoprene rubber. The outside of the WT belt is Velcro that attaches to the inside of the outer belt. But once you put it on there, it stays on there. You don't have to remove it. You just grab the whole thing and put it on. The neoprene keeps the belt from sliding around or moving as you run/walk/do drills, etc. The video posted by nrwin shows how it works. After watching his video, I ordered one. When it came in, I immediately put it on my belt. And his video was correct. It keeps the belt and items from moving around. My Duty Belt / "War Belt" Setup ETA: This is the HSGI belt he mentions in his video. https://www.highspeedgear.com/95mg0-95mgl |

I use it to throw my belt on for dryfire practice. |

View Quote That is exactly the reason he stated in his video. And that is exactly the reason why I bought the one from Wilder Tactical (the one from HSGI looks to be about the same thing, just made by them). And it does make it super easy. Just grab the whole thing and put it on; no having to on the inner belt by threading it through your belt loops. And it fits over my EDC belt (Kore Essentials) with no issues. |

Why do this over, say the HSGI and other belts that are basically these two parts in one? A large padded war belt. |

The 2 belt system is by far the most stable but at the cost of dawning it. I have the wilder tactical on my hanging in my closet. I can snap it on over my footy pajamas and go out to check on stuff and have everything I need. Now if I’m going to the range or something is going down in my area I’ll take the time and get the 2 belt system on. |

Gotcha, this is a good talk at the right time, my Esstac is a little tight so I’m considering a new one and going up a size, which would absolutely be necessary if I put padding under it. |
