Anyone shoot any yet? I picked up a box tonight (might as well grab what's in stock) and was wondering how it compared to Federal and Remington bulk.

do you mean winchester X 500 rds or winchester bulk 333 rds?

I am not familiar with 555

Neither... it's a new product (or size at least) I'm not sure if it's the 333 pack load in a larger quantity or something different:

Versus

According to the descriptions they look like the same load... if that's the case, how do the 333 packs compare to Federal/Remington bulk?

My M60 loves the win 333–– but can't seem to find it around here.
BTW- it also enjoys the fed bulk pack- also can't seem to find it around here.

I ran a couple hundred of these through my gsg and my new sig 226 .22. They seem about as strong as the fed bulk pak and did really well in both guns. I was very pleased with the results. Hope this helps.

Good to hear... next time I can shoot (probably next weekend at the earliest) I'll run some through my P22, Spikes .22 and 10/22.

I was at the range the other day sighting in a new red dot and had just bought a box of the 333.  Only had time to run a magazine each through my P22 and 10/22, they seemed to like it.

I noticed that the other day.  They didn't have any Fed 550 on the shelf but they had the sticker.

Win 555 at $15.95 is .03 cents a round
Win 333 at $9.95 is also .03 cents a round

The specs (36 grn, 1280FPS) are the same as the Federal bulk.

Picked up a box of the Winchester last night to try out.

Thats all my local walmart has been getting in,is the 333 40gr round nose.My 10/22 doesn't like them at all,its either that or the hi cap mags don't like them.It eats the hollow points good.

Lead or plated? What mags?

I believe they are lead,I have 1 box left,i bought 2,but was there the other day and they had gotten more in,wish they would get the federal bulk packs. I have 3 differ mags,1 butler creek and 2 eagle 30rnders,the eagles did the worse but they feed the hollow points well, and 1 ramline 50rnd mag.

I have two crappy ramline 50s, they work ok with Federal bulk, but hate lead (non-plated) rounds. My TI-25 and stock 10 round mags are fine with anything.

I was just about to ask about this ammo as I just saw the empty cardboard case sitting next to the ammo display at my local Wal-Mart...   The cashier said that it was put on the shelves and 1 guy must have brought in all of his friends & relatives to buy the entire case in 1 "visit"!

What number of rounds will they come out with next... ???

My butler creek mag for a 10/22 hates the rounds from the 333 count boxes. Regular 10 round mag takes them well.

13 boxes here. BTW, 12 Federal bulk packs fit very nicely in a SAW can. Might have to buy the 555 myself for something to try.

I'm not complaing too loudly about .22LR prices until bulk packs top 5 cents a round. $16 is still a cheap price for a day's shooting.

I shot a 333rd pack the other day, 200 through an ultra-reliable CZ Kadet with zero problems, the rest 85% reliable through a 10/22 that hates Federals (failure to feed).

I was comparing the .22 from the fed 550rd, 375rd and the win555rd boxes.  The 550s seemed the nicest.

The win555rd packed seem to have bullets that we loose in the brass.  (You could spin the bullet, but couldn't pull it out.)

Anyone else notice this?

I tried the 333 pack and it worked okay in my cmmg .22 conversion kit until I had a slamfire.

Haven't tried the 555 yet, but did get about 8 boxes of the 333 a few months back.  Out of my 10/22 its as accurate as CCI, very impressive.  I have a lot of issues with the 333 through my Mosquito and my GSG-5.  The fed 525 or 550 both work flawlessly through all my guns, though the accuracy with the Fed is a little worse in my 10/22.  Federal works every time, I shoot the 333 through my 10/22 though since it works every time and holds tighter groups.  Hope this helps.

I have been using the 333 to shoot Appleseed AQT's and it is much more accurate than the bulk Federal. They are tied for reliability but the Win. seems to be more accurate by a good margin....on a par with the Federal 510 Champion load so far. If I could get the 40 grain Champion I would prefer it, the heavier bullet seems to give better functioning in several guns but the Winchester is a fair substitute since I can't get the Federal for love or money these days. I've shot probably 800 rounds or so of the Winchester so far.

Same problem with my 10/22 with a promag. It absolutely hates them.
