Over the past few weeks I've painted two of mine

The bottom I did the other week, practicing color blending/softening the edges. The top one I did today, first time I used foliage. Mostly rosemary. My fingers smelled great afterwards!

I really like the top one.  Good job on both.

ETA you may want to add more contrast to the lower rifle to break up the pattern

working on this today.  My Vinci started rusting if I even thought of the marsh just in the past year.  Didn't matter how much I cleaned or oiled it would rust.  So I got after it with the steel wool and rattle cans today.

I think I posted this rifle earlier in the thread, but I recently swapped the Magpul MOE handguard for a free-float handguard this week, and hope to get it to the range this weekend.

My 11.5 BCM has been through a few iterations.  Once the paint wears off or I get bored it’s time for a repaint.

First paint job:

Here’s how it looked after a few years:

Funny you say that.... I was deer hunting, working on a bait spot, laid it down and ALMOST lost it in the leaves and ground clutter.   Next one I'm going to use larger pieces of sponge so the color blotches break the outline better.

There’s a good amount of deep green in it but the picture didn’t pick it up. I’ll take another shot in the Florida sun. This was my first spray, and I’m addicted.

I like that.  I have been considering using that snake-ish style with a crocodile pallette.

Looks good.

ETA: I like the hex spacing size, do you mind linking the bag you used for that?

Sorry, I just now saw this. I found the bag at Wal-Mart. It's a small laundry bag. I think it's meant to be used for socks and undies. It does pattern well. Just cut it down the sides and open it up.

This is awesome! Paint job looks really good, and very unique. You don't see many brown jobs, particularly ones that look this tasteful.

My first rattle can. Inspired by Bringo’s copperhead paint job. My lines didn’t come out as defined as I wanted, but still very pleased. It’s tough to recognize when to stop spraying paint.

@ImpacTT

Thanks buddy--I was just having fun with the paint gun.

It's a Mystery Ranch Blackjack LB 35. Great pack. For camping (living luxuriously) in winter it gets pretty full pretty quick. Haven't tried for summer yet, but I could slim down sustainment significantly for ammo and gear.

Rattle can always looks like shit when it's fresh. It will look great in probably a few weeks once it "melts" together, I promise. 👌

Quick job yesterday, frankly out of boredom lol

That was just ol' Tractor supply camo in a can. Wasn't going for the blood diamond look, that was just how I saw it. But, thanks for the compliment!

@JoeBud It looks great man! Having the edges super delineated looks good aesthetically, but the ambiguity and blurred edges will probably camouflage better.

ETA another pic of a different project

Thank you sir. We actually have four seasons in my AO so brown just kinda works all year. Plus I’m too lazy for stencils and different color combos

Got bored.  Just experimenting with a solid color on the rail and a honeycomb grid stencil on the receivers.

@Scout1502 Thank you!

Hunter's Specialties Olive Drab #00324
Majic Khaki 8-20852-2
Majic Earth Brown 8-20854-8

Not the greatest shots, but I found some pics of when I first tried those paints.  Had only used Rustoleum camo up until then.  Can't really comment on longevity as the rifle doesn't get much use.

Awesome. I appreciate it. I’m still deciding on what to do with the camo pattern. Laundry bag vs foliage.
