They just don't seem as durable or long lasting. |

Dead Air Sierra 5 (Only whatever rounds mfg. puts on these) https://i.imgur.com/kvRoXns.jpg View Quote Zero rounds. If it was test fired it would not be clean. Test fire is a QC step some companies don't do. The Sig can looks dirty, it probably was test fired. |

Obsidian 45
1,000 rounds. Mostly 9mm subsonic, the last 100 rounds were from some dirty 45ACP. I coat my baffles with dielectric grease. Pictures from when I pulled it apart, and after cleaning with only a rag. Attached File 4/2023-06-10__1__JPG-2847489.JPG" /> Attached File Attached File Attached File |

It seems most of the guys safe queen them with an intention of eventually scalping them for profit. I see deployment kit guns selling and the people almost never have the respect to keep the kit together- the gun is $14K and the can is going on another auction. It's completely screwed those two items should never be separated, but the majority KAC consumer owner seems to think of the gun as is a long term hold, like treasury bill. It's not a weapon system with a purpose to most of those people, and I don't think KAC intended it that way. |

View Quote Honestly, most of the people "FlExInG" with their KAC stuff, and most of the owners treating them like they are porcelain dolls has turned me off on KAC stuff. I got the rifle in 2019, then the can in 2020. I paid I want to say $2139 for a complete 16" SR15 Mod 2, and I paid cost for the QDC can (which was still expensive). Seeing what people are willing to pay for the QDC can, complete ambi lowers, etc, is just ridiculous to me. At a class I took last year a guy was awestruck that I was doing it with a KAC rifle and a KAC can, asking me if I knew how much they were selling for. Had no clue that at that point the QDC cans were going over 5k at the moment. The rifle and can perform well, at the price I paid. But the current pricing? Definite pass. My KAC gets stuffed between my seat and center console whenever I go exploring, and has ended many coyotes on the run. Which also blows the minds of the new KAC fanboys, since it actually gets used for something other than flipping or pictures for the gram. EZ |

I was lucky enough to snag a new Mod 2 upper at cost from PSD during COVID. First thing I did was paint that bitch. Sucks but I feel like a huge part of the “user” base are a bunch of crybabies and scalpers. |

At 7000 rounds on just one of your cans, you probably run a precision rifle pretty damn well. |

I don't have a 22LR can yet, so have been doing just fine with my Obsidian 45. It works beautifully. I don't get it, but it works.
Here is the can since last cleaning. About 100 rounds of 115gr 9mm About 200 rounds of 147gr 9mm About 300 rounds of 22LR The rounds are all mixed up. Last batch through the gun was about 80 rounds of 147 9mm Amazingly clean. 22LR was all CCI 22LR subsonic. Here an there, one went super. Dunno. The 22LR host is a Nylon 66. Not meant for this, but does great. Its really hard to get photos of the innards. Flashlights don't work well, and the phone doesn't seem to want to make its own flash. I hope this helps.
