Yes, it's Larue LT787 which is part of the updated Leupold DAGR package.

Very nice.  That is what I want to do with mines regarding the Mk6 setup.

Do you mean the LT724? The 787 looks to be the ring mount to sit on top of the optic as seen on a MK20.

I guess I misread what you were asking, but you're right. The part I was referring to (LT787) is mounted to the scope. As far as a weapon mounted offset, the LT724 is in use.

Well as a left handed shooter the LT724 will not work. Looks like I will be going the LT787 route.

Yeah, I’ll dig them up and post them.

The Elcan was great but it really limits the 17. After seeing the photos of the 17s and 20s with the ECOS-O I figured it would be an awesome setup.

If anyone is interested in reading up on the ECOS-O

Definitely adds more magnification to the equation and funny enough it's only 1 oz heavier than the Elcan lol.

Man, the Elcan gets a bad rap.  Not singling you out eMc9001, I mean just in general.

The Elcan 1.5x/6x SU230B weighs about 25.35 ounces which includes the mount.  The Mark 6 3-18x44 weighs 23.60 ounces and the Mark 6 IMS Mount weighs 7.90 ounces...31.50 ounces (add even more weight for 1x capability plus a 1x mount like on the complete DAGR system).  Now I'll concede that weight and rail space aside, the Leupy set-up adds a lot of versatility over the Elcan.  The Mark 6 3-18x44 is definitely lighter than its direct competitors like the ATACR 4-16x42 which weighs 30.00 ounces alone (without mount).

Edited to add:  Looks good, AZJBT.  I like it.

I’ve run both the 1.5-6 and a SU230A on my 17. Its a great optic and I’d say it was king for its time. For me the Elcan limits what I am capable of doing with intermediate ranges so I went with the MK6. I’m going out tomorrow morning to get it zerod.

@Kalmar you’re the man.

In fact, there is one LESS hole.  No annoying mag-well pin.

Excuse the ignorance, but whats are these mk17 lowers? This is the first I'm hearing about them. I also thought that the mk17s and mk16s had the selector switch throw changed back to 90 degrees instead of the 45?

There are different versions of mk17 lowers out there, all of them require material to be removed to work on a scar17 receiver.

This is true. The MK17 I used overseas had a 90 degree selector, like an M4.

For those of you looking for the Mk6 3-18 Tremor 2 w/Aimpoint T1 combo, Natchez Shooters Supplies has them for $2749.  Considering that’s about what I paid for a Elcan 1.5-6, this is a good deal.  I also believe this combo (DAGR) is discontinued, so now is a good time to pick them up.  Mine came in today.

Is the Surefire FA762SS the only Surefire model in use by SOCOM? I know my luck finding a AAC is pretty slim and honestly I have more favoritism with Surefire but I havent seen the RC models in use on the MK17 (which would be ideal). Just would like to get some Forms rolling on something for this rig.

Mk20's use a different suppressor, the Surefire FA762SV (NSN 1005-01-581-4685) and they are even harder to find commercially available than the SS.

The SV and SS look very similar, but the SVs are what you see on the Mk20s vs. the SS which are on the USMC's M40 platform. Up until recently I thought the SS was on the Mk20 as well, but they are not - the older style locking collar is a dead giveaway for the SV.

The SV is going to be a tough find. I have seen quite a few SS for sale but not a SV.
