Sure.   Its a Strider SLCC (Slim Line Concealed Carry).  One of the sharpest knives I own.
Did a pretty good job of cutting my thumb halfway off about 4 weeks ago with it.  Sorry no pics.
But I did bleed the most I ever have in my life!!!    If you can find one it will be around $300 bucks and up, depending on the model.   Its my weakside carry most of the time / blade down (ice pick) draw.  I usually carry the smaller one on the bottom Strongside.  Both make up my weapon retention options.  I'll try and post more pics after lunch.

I traded a chipmunk rifle for this knife. I can't find the maker to ask him about the particulars. It's very well made. Sorry about the sucky pics, I have no photography clue.
The makers mark reads  L.O. Albach custom crafted knives, La Palma, Ca.

Looks like a heck of a knife! If you traded a Chipmunk for it, I would say you did well. You could buy a few Chipmunks for the cost of most custom bowies.

I don't think Gerber is making these anymore.

They aren't.  About the only good knife they are making anymore is the LMF II.

I really like the knife pics. For the most part you guys go with a nice flat grind instead of a short hollow grind that is commom on 1/4" thick knives. If I needed a flatbar, I'd carry a flatbar, I want a cutter when I grab a knife.

Cheers,

And, I only paid $50 for the chipmunk. It was missing about 1/8" of the tip, a long grueling lansky session brought her back as good as ever.

I may build another sheath for it and toss it in the EE.

Nice Ghurkas!

My grandfather had a couple of authentic ones that he brought back to the states while he was in Burma during WWII.  Man the stories he had about the Ghurka soldiers and how they could use that blade!

lefthandblack,

Question for you regarding the Fallkniven A1...

How stout is that half-guard deal?

How durable is the handle (scales)?

I have a CS SRK, and find the half-guard...'concerning.'  I really prefer a knife with a double guard.  But there's something about that A1...

Thank you.

EDIT:  wouldn't mind hearing from others also.

It is very stout as there is actually a piece of the tang molded underneath the guard. You can see the naked blades HERE.

I have performed full force stabs in to phone books, 2x4's, logs and other items and have had no problems with hand slippage. The handle is very secure and grippy and the halfguard is definitely enough to keep your hand from slipping onto the blade.

The handle material is very tough stuff. It way out classes the handle material from Cold Steel. It is very abrasion resistant and strong, yet just soft enough to soften impacts from light chopping.

Here is a review by Cliff Stamp on the A1,

Fallkniven A1 review

There really is "something" about these Fallkniven's. They are a true working blade with class!

Thank you, lefthandblack.

Great info.

I have read the A1 review (and probably most of the others) at physics.com.

I might put as A1 on my Christmas wish list - but I still like?want the full guard, so may look into aftermarket modifications by someone.

Thanks again.

Yep.  I have a CT in the old style too.  I prefer the Res-C handles.  They might not look as "tactical", but in extreme cold and heat, they are VERY appreciated.  BTW, that last pic is after cold blueing with 44/40 and then a Flitz rub down & oil.
