3x for me too if I opt for the M1 with optic as the donor for my F88SA2 clone (wishful thinking continues) ;)

I am holding out for the 1.5x A2 style optic.

is the aiming/range finding done the same way as with the A1 reticle?  the ring is much thinner than on the original donut of death

I was hoping for a 1.5x donut same as the old A1 style.

But those are some pretty fine lines for something that's 1.5x or even 3x.

I wonder how thick that ring actually is or if the picture is just making it appear thinner than is truly is.

If that's the only optic reticule choice we get I might as well grab one in 3x.

It is a much finer reticle compared to the past options:

New reticle:

A2/A3 scope reticle:

Other AUG reticles:

Definitely want a 3x.  That is about the perfect balance.

3x , can we get the old  retical ?

3x is a great compromise.

Am running a Trijicon 3x30 on my A3  now so a factory 3x is what I'm going for.

The adjustment on those knobs is a welcome upgrade for anyone who has ever used an A1 or A2.

The prong keys become lost too easily. Nice to use a cartridge or change.

how often do you adjust the scope? sight in once and never needed to change it. kept the tool in the cleaning compartment in the stock. still there . that new scope looks cheap

Swapping reticle tubes, moving an A3 scope to another gun, installing a different upper rail, putting a new barrel on a gun... there are plenty of opportunity to adjust the scope.

I lost mine and it was a pain to find it. It's now taped to the back of a business card.
Tool-less adjustment is better than a thin proprietary pronged piece of metal the size of a quarter.

Don't even get me started about the stupid A3 scope wrench, I don't have one.
