If I were to do it again, I'd probably pick your setup.

If you mean Virtus 6.75" instead of Rattler 5.5", its not too late to grab a 6.75" barrel for your Rattler.  Since you're using the Virtus SD handguard with the adapter you'll still be able to reach the 6.75" gas valve.

There is more involved in it than just the barrel. What I mean is I would pick the virtus upper/barrel and the compatibility that brings in general.

I thought about going this route with my Rattler but I ended up with more MCX's all together. If in this position I wouldn't add the barrel, rather I would just get the desired VIRTUS upper to toss on. Honestly by then you'd also have an adapter and trigger so you may as well throw it on an AR lower and just have another gun all together!

Not sure why but the Rattler excels at being the Rattler! I don't want to change it lol.

Is it quieter than the SLH300 or SLH762?

I think the SLH300 is still quieter. But it is at least almost 1.5x longer and 4 ounces heavier. Still one of my favorite cans.

Did you receive word from them on shipping or something? I ordered last October, and they've stopped answering emails/IG messages for me . . .

I ordered last October as well and I haven’t been able to reach them either. A guy on Reddit got in touch with him and he said they should be shipping end of July and that this batch was slower because less people ordered them and they had a delay getting aluminum from England. I am really hoping we get our handguards!

My last pre-order back in 2021 took over 8.5 months to receive. It’s a long lead time but they do quote 6-9 months up front. I hope you get yours soon!

ETA: It was 8 months 26 days.

Ok fellas  I kind of f'ked up and put an MPX Radian Raptor charging handle in my VIRTUS and RATTLER and I just realized.

Works just fine but what am I missing? Immediately remove or no issues with running it?

Remove it.  The charging handles are not the same.

I placed an order for a handguard on 10/5/2022.   I reached out back in June and heard nothing.  Also heard others reached out and heard nothing as well.....

I just now started a case through PayPal for a refund, so I figure that will get his attention, but unfortunately, the case is denied because it is more than 180 days from purchase......

I got one on his second batch and I believe he was quoting 4 months. I finally received it after 9 or 10 months.

I think I was in on his 2nd batch.  About the same time from order to ship.

Tbh, I was actually surprised when it showed up.  Figured it was a gamble to begin with. He was more active on IG back then and responded to the couple emails I sent (not related to timeline, just adding stuff to the order).

It’s a Rex MG7k in 308. Sounds good enough but it’s heavy. Was $352+ stamp locally so I figured why not.

It’s direct thread not but I’m going to add a QD set up eventually so I can swap it back and forth on other hosts.

@SpyHawk really? I don't have any other steel cans. Just a Rev45 pistol can and something in 22, so not much time behind them.

Oh yeah. I mean, it's the range of 12 oz. That is very light for a steel suppressor.

The reason cans feel so heavy on the gun is because they are all the way out on the end and have more leverage against you.

makes sense... I am coming from an 18" bull barrel with 3" comp on a 12.5 pound rifle. The rattler already feels much lighter by comparison, so I'm not bitching too much

Thanks for the info, it looks nice.  I need to buy one for my Rattler, I've been looking at a Q suppressor.

I really hate the process of buying suppressors.  I bought one last month using SilencerShop for my MP K-Pistol, and it still hasn't been certified.  It'll be 2025 before I get the damned thing.
