Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing but I'm toying with the idea that because the Scalarworks is quick detach, if the optic ever goes down...

Also figuring out the light position and keeping the surefire switch or going to a Modbutton for space saving.

Would also love a laser

If you’re paring it with NV then it’s a different story. Then I’d recommend a 12:00 mounted red dot.

Can't afford the NV right now. Can only dream.

I'd need a new mount for the 12:00 dot anyway because of how this mount's rings open.

anyone have any experience with the B&T specific MPX suppressor or the MIL-SRD9-MPX sku from sig?  I can find the SRD9 that has not the 13 and 1/2 pistons but a local dealer has old stock of the “MPX” specific sku.

I've got the MIL-SRD9-MPX on my 4.5" but unfortunately I haven't really got to test it yet.

Is it any different than the SRD9?  Is it specifically threaded and designed for the taper?  Or is it just a piston and fixed spacer?  @brazos609

Also pics?

CAG PSD in Israel, anyone know more details on this upper? Part of me wants to say it’s a Spear LT but the handguard looks very similar to the MCX SURG slim handguard. Can appears to be an Slx compact QD from what I can tell.

It’s a special CAG deal.  10.5” barrel (unavailable) with titanium bits (unavailable) and a special can that is probably not available as well.

A few weeks ago I shot a 2 gun challenge match that was rain or shine and oh, it rained. Everybody was struggling with rain on optics, it made visibility through the optics worse than the naked eye while hunting for steel targets against dirt and rock. Really made me appreciate the offsets I have on my rifle, no glass to look through.

If anyone is on the hunt for a sig SRD762 Direct Thread can my local FFL has one available that is reasonably priced and brand new.  I would scoop it but I can't justify spending more money on my mcx as I was originally going to make an LVAW clone out of it and ALTRD took my money on the last batch of pre orders last year and ran with it on handguard pre orders. Shoot me a PM and I will give the FFL name and phone number.

You could still do an LVAW clone with a Lancer handguard.

@Lenaburg what case is that?

and yeah, if you go with a slim folding stock you'll save a few inches off the ass-end of that thing

Pelican Air 1525. Internal dims are 20.50 x 11.31 x 6.75. If I take the mag out and have it angled it has more room to fit.

For the LVAWbro’s, RailScales is selling a contract overrun MLOK version of the old LVAW light mount. It’ll have to be modified to work with the ALTRD rails but it’s as close as we’ll get to the correct mount.

I wonder if the spacing and thread pitch is the same as LWRC (#8-32). LWRCI and Arisaka have some options if thats the case as well. The LWRCi version is a combo pic rail with Scout light slots in the pic rail. Ill measure the CTC on the LWRCi when I get to the house and update.

Edit: I measured spacing on LWRCi threaded holes at 1-3/16"

@Lenaburg thanks for that, it looks great! I have a pelican air case for travel that's been across the country a few times now and holds up great. It's just a bit too small if I want to travel locally with my PC, helmet, and rattler. Still haven't figured out the right way to move that stuff all around without being obvious. I should grab just a cheap pink hardside suitcase I guess.

Appears to be a Legacy upper with Keymod handguard on a standard Sig lower receiver with stock adapter (i.e. not an MCX lower) and perhaps a Virtus barrel and muzzle device

I believe the 300blk barrel shown is Legacy as well (Non tapered Lug) with Virtus Gas Valve??

It's what I call a "transitional" handguard.  That's what's on my MCX.  CDNN has some left, but you'll have to convince SIG to sell the QD socket.  They did for me, and they were pretty cheap/free.

I like it quite a bit, it's thicker than a Legacy.  It looks really nice with a 14.5" Virtus barrel.

Doesn't this qualify as "false advertising" in a sense?

It technically isn't an MCX because of the build, but someone who doesn't know what to look for would think they're getting an actual MCX...

SIG sold some MCX setups with the AR15 SIG lower and conversion kit installed, with a MCX upper on top.

Interesting. Thanks for the info

Someone on Reddit posted an actual part number: pmcx-300b-9b-tfsal-400

Has the conversion M400 lower.

Found an old link from Impact Guns

There were a few rolling changes to the cosmetic shapes on the rear of the uppers. Nothing changed in the part numbers or generations.

IIRC, one is a bit more radiused, and one is more angular. I'd have to look at mine again.
