Looks like Indonesia has the short length transitional handguard, assuming that's a 9" barrel.

However you can’t get a rifle behind your right eye from your left shoulder without an epic amount of tomfoolery. |

Shoot pistols right handed and just turn my head a bit. Shoot rifles and shotguns left handed. Part of the reason I like the MCX, it's a lefty friendly rifle. |

GRAPHIC: Video shows deadly shootout between Scottsdale PD, suspect Scottsdale PD rocking some MCXs (saw at least 3) while doing the needful. Plus, the suspects weapon was pretty interesting. |

It looks like like they both had some kind of malfunctions with their rifles and transitioned to pistols. One of the detectives (the one who had to bail out of the passenger side) appears to clear the malfunction, dropping both the magazine and a live round, then reload before engaging the suspect. The other detective (the one who climbed onto the hood of the vehicle) appears to attempt to clear the malfunction, but gets a "fail to fire" from the rifle before transitioning to his pistol. I'd sure like to hear the explanation... |

The guy who bailed out the passenger side probably pulled the charging handle slightly on something.
Not so sure on the other guy. |

Imma bet an ammo issue since 2 different guns had issues.

If those are 6.75 300blk MCXs, then its no surprise..sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.....

Mentioned earlier that a lot these are 300 blk - but I don't see many mags with special markings. Isn't best practice to loudly mark a 300 mag since they are basically identical to a 556 mag, or am I wrong about that?

View Quote Special markings aren't required and who knows what that department does to handle the differences in 300blk/5.56 mags/rounds going around. Those rounds in the video almost sounded subsonic but could just be the camera and how it's picking up the audio. |

I used OD for subsonic and tan for supersonic. 5.56 was training ammo in USGI mags and HD ammo in black PMAGs. I didn't have to mark anything, and I never blew up a gun. |

Safety First. Unless it gets in the way of fun. Then safety second.

If he doesnt have the G-Latch Firing pin safety you will get the click every now and then when you pull the trigger. I doubt they are running that G-latch. If not thats user error and not the guns failure. Also, not using 300 Blackout Specific Mags with 300 Blackout will cause feeding issues |

Makes sense and probably what I'd do if I get a 300 upper someday You can't tell colors in the dark. What I do is generally use Lancer mags for 300blk and PMAGs for 556. On the Lancers I use one band for supers, and two bands for subs. Even if I can't tell between a PMAG and Lancer I can still tell the bands. |
