Love it! First off, thanks for the pic. (This is a picture thread, after all.) Secondly, were you able to install that RPP rail yourself, or did you bring it to your smith? I've heard the Henrys are a little trickier than the Marlins, but don't have any hands on experience yet.

Great build. Welcome to the family!

I did the handguard install myself. Although harder than something like this should be, the installation was fairly straight forward. Just make sure to follow the instructions. I had to do quite a bit of lapping on the tenon in order for it to fit my dovetail.

Bought a DPP NV, removed Henry Rail (too tall), added Skinner Plate and DPP NV.

Much lighter than that giant SRS.

I’m bouncing back and forth on buying a set of wood just for the stock. If I do that, I’ll have someone more competent than I do the QD sockets (I’m a southpaw and so I have one on each side).

I put QD in all my HS precision stocks.  A bit nerve wracking the first time but it was a nothing burger.
Make sure you get good quality QD sockets, sucks to glue in a chinesium one and have it get boogered up.  Grovtec makes quality steel QD sockets.  Get a 1/2 inch Forster bit and the appropriate tap(9/16-something I believe).  Make sure it is a bottoming tap.  Degrease the QD so glue will stick to it.   Drill, tap, and glue them in.

Not mine but represents. Wanted a Henry but the levtac had 2 things going for it. It was in stock and $239 cheaper and did I say in stock. Was looking at a Henry in 45LC but decided the 357 was a better choice to get my sammich maker to shoot it.

First shots will happen when my form 4 gets approved.

Let's see some pics of the one you bought, brother. Also, do you know which model Midwest rail fits on the Citadel? They definitely don't make one specific to that make of rifle.

I did a thing. Stainless 16.5” gun with factory porting and cerakote by Unknown Munitions. The DPP is sitting a bit high so I need to find a better option for that.

@mhbaker81

See new post above. Check for a rossi rail. That will work on the citadel.

Very cool. Thanks for the information. Rifle looks great, by the way.

I'll have to load some more pics soon, myself... I just installed Form rifle stocks with adjustable cheek risers on both of my Marlin Dark builds. I'll be trying out the new EOTech EFLX sight on the 1895, as well.

Nice... I wanted a big boy X or a Marlin Dark. Marlins are out of production and doubt you will find one without a premium. I could only lay my hands on a 45LC in a Henry which was real tempting. Found the citadel for $230 less than the Henry so decided to jump on it. I've probably got more components for LC than 357 but most of it is lead ball and probably won't play well with the suppressor.

Henry X model in .45 Colt. Currently have a TA44 on there which I like a lot, it's perfect for a fast brush gun like this. Might swap out the sling but I'll likely leave the stock and forend, not a huge fan of the aluminum ones. Not sure what suppressor to go with yet either.

I’m sure glad there’s a video for the ranger point install.

I’ll toss on the hybrid and give it a whirl this weekend. (45LC)

RPP rimfire handguard on 16" Henry .22. It sure wasn't a 4 minute install like the video, I'm not even done yet because the new cross screw in the new barrel band is too long. Tighten it down and the handguard is off to one side, don't and the whole thing is loose. I also had to remove the receiver cover, ended up flaking some of the finish off. Does anyone duracoat these?

It feels a lot better in my gorilla hands and it'll be nice to have a light and side sling mount on it. I had no intent on doing this to this rifle, the plan was to get a mares leg and tac that out.

See far I’m liking it, I’m gonna have to build up  the cheek rest a little bit.

Check out Form Rifle Stocks based out of the UK. Super pricey, but they have an epic riser built right into the stock. I still owe everyone some more recent pics of my builds that have received this treatment.

Im about 95% done with my Rossi R92 in 44 Mag. I still want a quiver for a few extra rounds on the rifle. I want to get a different sling and maybe a smaller weapon light. The overall length of the Powertac that is on there is just a little long for the look Im going for. Im super happy with the way I refinished the stock and how its color turned out. The Ranger Point installed super easy and I used a Skinner Sights mount for the Primary Arms RS-10 red dot.
