Thanks!
16” with the urx 2. I might try and go shorter one day but it’s going to require getting creative to find or make a barrel.

I love it.  Alpha glass, light compact package, daylight bright dot, excellent reticle in the 1st plane, fantastic turrets.  It really does it all.  The only complaint would be that the depth of field is a bit shallow so the adjustable parallax is important when jumping from 200 yards to 600 yards but with the adjustable parallax you can dial it to be crystal clear on those longer shots.  I have or had ZCO, NF, Minox ZP5 and a March HM and I would buy the 1-10 DR again if I wanted another LPVO.  I'm looking at the new March 1.5-15 Dual reticle that was just announced.  Looks like it was built just for SR25's.

Finally got my approved Form 4.

Sad to lose the MAMS, but I got lucky enough to find a NOS SF3P-SR25, which is quieter than the SFMB due to the labyrinth seals/grooves.

Need to decide if I swap the STR for an ACS, or go back to an LMT stock with some weights to help balance the rifle a bit better when the can is attached.  I maybe I need to just go lift weights. . . .

Help me satisfy a curiosity. I own several SR-25s, carried one in the military, but am no expert in the various minutiae.

I have seen take down lugs on SR-25s marked with the serial number, but most I've see aren't. Some serial numbers are stamped, and some are engraved. Some serial numbers are just the last four, and some are the complete number. Does anyone know the significance of how this process came about and when it stopped? I've examined the following SRs for reference:

- Match: Stamped Last 4
- Match: Not Marked
- Mk11 Mod 0: Engraved Complete Serial #
- EC: Not Marked
- EMC: Not Marked
- ECC: Not Marked

The receiver below is stamped with the last four on the take down lug and the full serial number and "7.62MM" is laser engraved on the left side.

That's interesting.  I checked an EMC and ECR and neither had it.  Don't remember if the old Match or Mk11 Mod 0 I used to have had engraving.  I'm guessing it was an agency and/or DoD thing.

When I worked at KAC many moons ago, the upper and lower receivers for Mk11s were match-drilled and reamed (for the takedown and pivot pins) as an assembly. The markings were done to insure they stayed / could be re-married throughout the rest of the finishing and assembly processes.

Hope this helps!

This is awesome information. It would make sense that these receivers were drilled together because the pins slide in like butter. Other Match rifles I've messed with are all over the map, as far as fit. Some are pretty standard, and some pins need a punch to knock out.

I emailed KAC about the serial number and they said it was manufactured in December 1993 and sold in October 1998. Seems weird to me, and I can only assume the lower sat in a bin for 5 years until they mated it with an upper. The upper has more "modern" features like the laser engraved serial number and "7.62MM"  on the left side, but still lacks the brass deflector. I still have more unanswered questions than answered, but at least I have some information.

There were several releases of SR25 pre-ban receiver sets over the years. Wouldn't surprise me that it didn't leave until later.

This is a thing -  a local dealer has one that he has been sitting on for like 15 years. One day went he gets tired of the parts hunt on the open market I may take it off his hands.
