Let me see what he says

Its a private range, but surely he wouldn't mind the business and advertisement

Nice rifle, FREEFALL. Seeing your last picture raised a question: wasn't the EC supposed to have an ambi-bolt release, as shown in the KAC 2012 catalog?

Maybe they will release the ambi lowers later

We had some ambo lowers around for demo guns - and a lot of the catalog was shot with one of those lowers.

My belief is that sometime last this year or early next year we will be selling guns with the ambo bolt release commercially, realistically it depends on how they sell.

Kevin, will that be applied across the entire SR-25 line?  I'm heavily interested in a EM rifle with ambi lower.  I guess I should start saving up.

Well had a few hours to go shoot today

Just like I expected she shoots great, most groups were under 1 MOA with 168 gn Federal SMK ammo

5rds @ 100m

FREEFALLE7,

Awesome group!

I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out, I'm getting real close to putting my order in

By the way which Leupold scope are you running - 3.5-10x40 ?

Talking about long range?  Using LC M118LR.  Surprisingly first hit on a cold bore shot.

Great looking place.

I'd really like to get something going on this, and I'd be more than happy to help out or take the lead on it. I can contact them to get something on the books and take care of the logistics. If you want, can you PM me your contacts info, and I will see what we can get going on it.

up in the pan handle ehh? I'm down in Tampa. If this happens far enough out ( just ordered my rifle Friday) I might be game too.

Maybe a bad hijack...........but............... I've been wondering, and wondering, why KAC dropped the dimpled barrel from the EMC on the ECC.......??
Link Posted: 5/3/2012 9:13:11 PM EDT
[Last Edit: FreefallRet] [#26]
I think the reason was to squeeze a little more accuracy out of the 16" barrel of the EC

Like EAB said the ECC has the dimpled barrel

You will have to ask Kevin and see what he has to say.

The ECC has a dimpled barrel, the EC does not have it - two different guns.

And also to bring the EC in line price wise with the other offerings.

Latest pics...decided on the Leupold MK6 3-18x44 M5.  Now I gotta sell my 30mm LT-112 mount in favor of a 34mm mount.

Retail prices on the Horus and Tremor versions should be $2500, and about $2100 for the CMR-W. I would imagine you will be able to pick them up for a bit less once they've been available for a little while.

Thats was their original estimated time frame, however, I would imagine you wouldn't start seeing them until late August to September. When the last time a gun or optic ever came out when the manufacturer said it would?

That would be awesome –– you have quite a nice rifle. I would prefer a darker tone shot, as the pictures with the white backgrounds kill my eyes from the brightness.

Is that the Leupold MK 6 and MAMS? How did you acquire those sir? Looks scary similar to what my ECC will look like when I get my MK6. How do you like the ECC?

Beautiful setup I pick my ECC up Monday, but will have to run a T1 until I get my MK6.

That's Chris Costa and the optic is a Leupold MK8 CQBSS.

Ah forty creek after work didn't notice it was him, I though the scope looked different though. I really wish we could get an ETA on the MAMS. I plan to run a SF can on my ECC, but if the MAMS works as well as Kevin says, and the QDC can is nice I might as well just go that route.

You are correct...sorry for the bad info.  It does not appear to have the "pinch and turn" elevation knob and the occular ring is not knurled.  Didn't know any were out in the wild yet but I guess Costa can get shit before it ever comes onto the market pretty easily.
