Finally got my stamp back on a QDC/CQB-PRT can, making my Mod 2 setup complete.
This suppressor is not one of the current production printed cans, but rather an earlier version that I bought from Knight's used. It's still in great shape, and I think it is the perfect size for a 16" gun like the Mod 2. In terms of performance, it is a little loud, but that's to be expected. It is not hearing safe for the shooter, but is hearing safe for a bystander a few feet away. The Pressure Reduction Technology really makes a difference too. I have an M4-2000 that I run on an 11.5" and it is super gassy. This is nothing like that, with no noticeable gas in my face at all while shooting. If you shoot suppressed AR's much, you'll notice that your empty magazines have lots of fouling on the followers. The followers on the mags I used shooting the PRT were remarkably clean. All in all, I'm impressed and pleased with this little can. First Shots |

It’s a good middle ground between an RMR and a full on AP Micro. The ACRO is quite a bit better in clarity and light transmission than the RMR. Passive with NODs it’s about on par with the RMR aside from that slightly better light transmission. I’ve never had a problem passive with RMRs, though, so YMMV. |
