Nice.  Is that an SBR, or do you have a sear pack?  Did you buy the lower clipped and pinned, or did you have somebody do it?  About how much did it run you for the lower?

Nice pics guys. If I had the $$$ I'd grab a standard MP5. Just standard. THAT'S WHAT I WANT.

But until I get a Class III firearm, I'm looking at a Mark 23 or a P7M8. Let's see some Mark 23's....

How do you like that P7?

Well, it ain't exactly made in Germany...

I bought this CETME today to make byself feel better about the fact that I woln't be able to get my upper and complete my m4gery for months.  Figured what the hell, between me and my buddy it's one of the only common actions we don't get to play with all that often. http://www.usfbullshit.com/UserData/the%20dude/Images/20041215101359.jpg

I know that MP-5. It belongs to B.L. Farley from Outdoor Specialties. I know for a fact that's his personal firearm.

My project:

It's a PTR-91 with a 20" heavy barrel, threaded, Vortex flash suppressor, PSG-1 stock,  ARMS mount, IOR scope...

I have an american made ambidextrous PSG-1 style grip with palm-rest on order from Falcon and I'm thinking about a B&T 3-rail handguard.

I haven't done any trigger work on it yet, but I plan on going with a Williams contoured set trigger.

I just put on my PTR a HK MSG90 stock ($$$YOUCH$$$) a B&T railed handguard, B&T ultra low scope mount, harris bipod on arms QD munt, IOR M1308 on Arms 22M's......  As soon as I find my camera cord, I'll get you pics....

She is a mean motherf*ckin' machine.  Weigh's a good ton, but mean as hell.....

BTW, I also added a K-style TDI grip ala HK MG's for shoulering the rifle while standing.  She's THAT heavy....

I'm thinking bout a PSG grip, but not sure......

How 'bout them pics... I want to see how it looks with the B&T handguard, I'm thinking about one of these myself.

I actually went out a bought a sony digicam just to take gun pics... got a good price but I still ahbven't figured out how to use it yet, so here are the best 2 out of about 400 shots i took....

She is heavy as HEEEEELLLL hence the forward grip, i put the K grip on ala HK21....

once you put your cheek on that rest and your shoulder slides into place, bipod down and hand on both grips you feel like this particular rifle was MADE for you.......

I've been trying to decide if I wanted the B&T handguard... I think I may go for one.

she's also got that williams set trigger...... came with it, what the hell does it do?

I'm havng a williams set trigger put into mine as well.

When you set the safety selector lever to "set" (about halfway between safe and fire) and pull the trigger back till it stops,  then move the selector to the fire position, your trigger pull should be about 2.5 lbs that shot.   How is yours?

I see it has the contoured trigger as well.  Sweet.  That's what mine is getting in it as well.  About a $180 upgrade.

How solid is that B&T handguard once mounted?  any rattle?

Link Posted: 1/22/2005 11:20:36 PM EDT
[#30]
the handguard is 100% stable.  First you hook it in back like regular handguard, then you put the front on and pop the roll pin through.  If that were all, the handguard would be shit as it rattles ALOT.  but that's not all.  Where I have closeups of the front sight in the above pics there are two seperate screws on each side, that you tighten until the handguard is stable.  it's simple yet super-effective and well worth the money IMO.  Also it's very skeletal, so very light.

And I figured that's what the trigger was after playing around with it some, I call it 'hairtrigger mode' but now i swee that it says 'set' on the side, I believe this system began on the sig ssg2000, am i right?

Anyhow, the trigger is quite good.  Haven't taken her shooting yet, but will once the temp is back above freesing.

Those screws up front,  do they tighten up to the barrel?

When you get ready to sell, let me know, as I will be interested in the scope, mount, handguard and some other things if you're willing to sell things that way when you sell it.

They did in the 1980s.  If you can find one now, it'll cost you between 3 and 4 thousand dollars.
