New member, here's my PTR-91 I'm working on. Added the R2 handguard and it fits perfectly after a bit of filing work. I'm currently on the hunt for an R2 stock, but I quite like the look of the rifle as it is! I might swap the stock PTR trigger pack out for a metal one with a green grip at some point.
Has anybody gotten their PTR cerakoted? Thinking about putting a layer over the parkerized finish. |

May end up putting the dual optic back on till I can find a good red dot I like for the pic rail. I want to love the dual optic, but damn it just isn’t that great lol

Not “busy” at all and no dot right on the front hood. The rear diopter makes it a bit more messy. I have cut one of mine, use the G3 rifle diopter on another and the castle style on my K. Unobstructed rear is the best for it. |

Received an HK marked PDW stock. As much as I like the UMP stock, I like this better. This is what I picture when I think MP5K-PDW.
Now I just have to decide on the optic mount. I’m used to lower 1/3 height at a minimum and have a Unity 2.26 height mount on one of my AR’s. This absolute height mount for the RMR really forces me to smush my face down to get a sight picture. I think I’d prefer a standard claw mount B&T rail and an ADM RMR QD mount to get the RMR up higher.

It allows you to use your irons through the mount. It requires that you open up the slot in the B&T rail to account the recoil lug of the arisaka mount. But it’s easy, I’ve done a few for myself and some friends and it’s the best optic/mount/rail combo I’ve found for the mp5. |

I’ve gone about a million different ways with optics but find what you have is best for me. If you do go rail and scalarworks mount I’d go with the mfi rail. It’s the lowest out there and no need to do any mods with the mount. I also like their mp5k mount with a Larue or adm low mount for the rmr. That’ll put it right over the front hood and good height too (but no iron use)  |
