What options do I have for sights? Currently it is wearing the original irons, and an ancient Eotech which belongs in a garbage can.  Can other irons be used on this platform, like Troys, GG&G, etc? or does anybody make a different style (other than HK irons) iron sight that will work on this rifle?

Also, I need to replace the Eotech.  I have a T1 and M4s at my disposal, plus acces to any Eotech I want.  I like the Aimpoints personally, so I would like to stick with one of them.  I prefer the T1.  It is currently in a Larue high mount for use on out ARs and M16s.  Which mount would I need to get it to work on the G36, and be able to co-witness it with irons?

Sorry for the pile of questions, but I'm not terribly familar with the rifle, and I need to get this figured out quickly! Thanks guys.

i dont know if a t1 with a factory mount will co-witness on a g36, are you using a g36c rail? i have a larue hk mount on my t-1 and like it but the buis are useless

i havnt found anything that will work with the factory g36c rail yet, if you can get a flat top rail w/o built in sights you could use some troy micros and t-1, i just hate not being able to get a good cheek weld

It currently has the G36C rail on it. I"m looking into putting a lower rail without the built in sights on it because that seems to be the only option in order to make this work.  Cheek weld is the number one concern with this new setup, and I am hoping someone has something similar and can give some advice.

The best sights I ever used on my G36 clone were the Knight's Armament short rail:

Using the Larue RCO mount it clamped perfectly and provided perfect eye relief. It also was awesome with a Micro T-1 and other sights:

That look great, and thanks for the pics.  The KAC were the only other sights I considered, but I don't think "daddy" wants to spring for those.

You can find awesome deals on them on Gunbroker. I got mine for $100 for both the front and rear on GB because the front sight had a slight ding in it.
