Quick question, I've seen the Unity Taps mounted in the 45 degree position on a couple of these rifles (see Clasky/TNVC photos), are those mounted just using mlok, or is there something underneath it? I just scored a 416 upper, and am moving my Geissele rail from my MR556 onto the 416 upper, and have an ATPIAL-C and a Surefire M300V I want to move over to this rifle. I'd like to keep the Taps switch as low profile as possible, and that setup looks like a good placement.
Thanks for your time and feedback on this. |

All that was required was barrel chop and installation of the brake/collar, SPR collar worked 100%. D. Wilson did the work, highly recommend. 14.5 vented OTB upper was used, the gas block was not additionally modified. |

what are you guys that are shortening the barrels doing for the gas blocks? I've gotta pick up a couple suppressors and I'm trying to figure out which ones to get and if I have to change the blocks out to the vented or try to find an adjustable.
I just kinda stumbled across this and am still a bit amazed y'all are finding the Rem and Geisselle rails in stock. Especially the black 10.4 RD Oh yea, picture thread. Attached File |

View Quote If it doesn’t have the sling loops and bayonet lug on the gas block (MR556 gas block), odds are it was a welded up and re-drilled vent hole that Jayson did. He was the only one to offer that option back in the day since so many were bitchin about the violent blow back when shooting suppressed. |
