Hot ASF.
Is that B&T forearm? If so, would you like to comment on it?
- easy to install
- does it scratch the finish as (potentially) Knight's Arms does
- is light enough

VERY curious as it could be my next purchase.

Yes the hand guard is a B&T. Pretty straightforward to install and get a very tight fit with the way it tensions with the front hand guard pin. I am confident a laser would hold zero with no issues. I had no problems with it scratching the finish as it doesn’t contact the gun anywhere that the factory hand guard doesn’t already, short of negligence when installing I think you’d be fine. And yes it’s light, there are plenty of lightening cut outs between picatinny sections and helps it from getting hot as well I’m sure. Honestly with how short MP5 hand guards are anyways and the guns themselves being pretty lightweight to begin with I wasn’t really considering it.

Typical Arfcom fashion. In all seriousness, if you only had one which would it be? My usage would primarily be as a range toy, just shooting drills and larping in the desert. I suppose I could hunt with it someday, but I likely won’t. I’d probably put either a red dot or an ACOG on it.

Ha.
You're the first I see with that MagPul stock here on ARFCOM; may I please have more pictures of it?

Still interested in the thang;
How's it work for you?

I'd say go with the one that offers what you want or the best deal.

I've heard good things about both so you really can't go wrong with either.

That's my non-answer answer. You're welcome.

I’ll get pictures with it extended later today but so far I think it works out great. I don’t have the a3 to compare it to but it locks up solid and not much play when extended. Fairly comfortable for cheek wield with low profile optics but think it may be a problem for higher set ups.

There was a whole thread on it, but it rolled off.

Mine locks up solid and has a not great, not terrible cheekweld when looking through the iron sights.   I do not have an A3 to compare it too, but the B&T side folder is more comfortable.  I should mention there was a burr on one of the rail slots that interfered with extending the stock, but a minute with a round file took care of that.

I keep the B&T on the gun, and the Magpul in the case if I want to swap it out for some reason.

18" for slightly less blast and slightly more velocity.

I prefer 18" minimum on my .308 guns.

One thing I love about the MP5 series is how easy it is to swap handguards/stocks.  I went back to the B&T from the A3.  I love this setup on both!

No it’s great.  My only complaint if that they didn’t put the stock in a way that it was smooth on your cheek instead of the adjustment bumps.  It’s not totally uncomfortable, but it could be better
