POF doesn't/didn't export an MP5K to the United States. They export both a standard MP5, and a weird "Reverse Stretch" model, which is a standard MP5 receiver with a "K front end".
Since the "Reverse Stretch" model uses a standard MP5 receiver, it incorporates the MP5 sling clip. |

ALMOST CERTAINLY MKE

This is the company making them. Not MKE. GARY.

I assumed they were not MKE based upon the lack of MKE markings.

Be interesting to compare these to Centtury’s. If they are contracted MKE with better QC I’ll get one.

Y'all are fretting about this thing before it even is out.
$1000 is a lot of money to most folks. Its chump-change to some. Let that lawyer guy who burns down shotguns have one of these to burn down. Then roast MAC if the deserve it. Or eat crow. I hope MAC has their own burn-down video. For this sort of gun, I'm not in unless I know its gonna run hot. |

Weld patterns are very different, it’s almost like these are a US clone but built in Turkey, aka Todd Bailey style. I’ll wait until they materialize on the market to pass actual judgement. |

You fellas go out and buy them right away and shoot the heck out of them and let me know how it goes. |

I'll be going by their booth at SHOT and I'll post about the pistols

The magazine catch on both of the (hand-picked?) examples pictured above looks H&K-level perfect. It is properly located on the receiver (it is vertically aligned in the little "C" shaped receiver cut out in front of the mag catch), and there aren't large gaps between the receiver and the top/bottom of the mag catch.
This is a significant improvement over many MKE products I've examined, just at first glance. If they can consistently produce these MP5 pistols without the myriad of quality issues which plague the MKE line, they will have a winner. |

I would have thought they'd have some range day footage from SHOT. Did they have a presence there?

I noticed that the MAC-5 has a button rifled barrel and the MKE/Century has a CHF barrel.
|
|
|
It's a shame they were able to obtain the MAC name.
Springfield Armory, round 2. Interesting import though. |
|
|
My guess is these will be a little cheaper than the AP5's. Why else go through the trouble of importing them when AP5's are already easy to get?

I justed looked at one yesterday the welds were great and the cocking tube and triple frame straight. Mag fit was very good and the action was fine. The high gloss gloss finish looked pretty good too.

Mertsav is reportedly MKE's biggest Sub Contractor. However you will get all of the extras they charge extra for to get with the MKE. So thats all included at $1,099. Attached File |

It will be interesting to see what the street price is SDS / MAC has had some decent priced guns below their MSRP last year.
At shot they also announced Inglis old new "brand" for imported Browning HP at $490 MSRP I would be interested to see those as well. |
|
|
They do look nice from the videos. I guess we’ll know more when they hit the streets.

For say, 900 bucks I'd try out a full size to match my MKE K.
