If I worked in the oil patch, that would be a possibility.

This is a small truck working. 1200 miles pulling a Hardinge HLV in the PNW.

Thankfully I no longer pull 6-7,000lbs of hay every year.

It’s just an f250, the f350 doesn’t do much work and I should sell it.

Screw the weight rating, that’s 3300 pounds of millet

They can, and do get a quarter million miles out of a motor.

With the washboards the road grader makes there’s lots of shit jiggling and shaking, close enough.

But I tore a quadriceps tendon a couple of months ago (not work related), so until I can climb again I’m relegated to the Small Cell crew in F450 dually bucket trucks.

Beats the hell out of a desk job.

Spent 15 years of my life sitting at a desk staring at a computer screen.  I don't miss corporate life one bit.

Actually, prior to now, I had never given a lot of thought to what rich people with gutters do.

Doesn't have to be beat to shit to be a work truck.

Though to be fair, that one will be in a few years.

I see that all the time around here.....mainly the lawn care guys. And then I see the trucks sitting at the bars all day from Nov to May here.

I buy the most basic, rubber matted stripped down units I can find. And that's not easy here. My oldest truck is a standard cab, 8' bed, 2016 and has crank windows and manual door locks yet.
I also have a 2016 F150 standard cab XL that's basic.
My newest truck is another Tacoma access cab, 4 banger with no back little jumper seats. Still has a key to unlock from drivers side only. I just got it about 3 months ago. I really love this little truck.
My other 3 trucks (all 2020 and newer) are much nicer, but aren't used for actual work as much with my bigger equipment.

I need to make money, not impress people.

Hell yeah brother. I work at a mountain too. I have an office but am rarely at my desk. My team and I usually do most of our planning on the ski lift in between runs.

Desk at home, desk in my pickup.  No "real" office.

I don't work on "a" mountain, I work in "the" mountains.  All of them.

I've put snowmobile and/or cat tracks in CO, WY, ID, MT, UT, CA, NV, MN.

I provide my own lift up the mountains. Work sleds, work bikes, work trucks, work atv/utvs, work snowcats....
