Quoted: As sad as the event is, the thing I took from it was the early malfunction of perps pistol, and failure to clear. Kind of cliche. For a reason I guess. Didn’t help the victim, but is noteworthy. View Quote Washington State is so liberal that it probably wasn't a malfunction, it's just that her legal 3 round mag ran out of ammo. |

Her self preservation skills were extremely poor.
#1 If you just had a gun pointed at you but your instinct is to lay down and cry, you're gonna have bad time. #2 Segregate yourself from known persons with low I.Q and low impulse control. |

Quoted: News said the same 2 women also had an altercation on New Years where police had to respond and arrest the would-be shooter for assault. Lesbian relationship, I'm guessing? They do have the highest % of domestic violence of any group. Her girlfriend probably pointed the gun at her 20 times before so she was used to it and didn't think she would actually use it. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Girl hit the ground and pouted, needed a little more distance between the 2... Seriously. The girl had a gun to her and when she fell down, she started crying, instead of GTFO. This doesn't excuse the murderer, but her survival was within her reach. They do have the highest % of domestic violence of any group. Her girlfriend probably pointed the gun at her 20 times before so she was used to it and didn't think she would actually use it. DV was my first thought after seeing the victim sit sobbing after being shoved outside. |

I was kind of surprised that a small group didn't rush up and start curb stomping the victim, once it was determined that said victim wasn't a threat.

UPDATE: Thursday afternoon, King County Court found Rickesha Denise Overton incompetent to stand trial. That simply means she will now be getting psychiatric care at a state institution and then re-evaluated after 90 days. The case and charges are still active. Next court date is July 11. People were always that way. With social media you just see more of it if you live a sheltered life. Did we always have these huge populations of homeless and substance addicted people, too? Moral and just societies require consequences for actions that are unacceptable. |

I didn’t see anything like that in the article about the shooting, however. |

Quoted: Bums and junkies are new? LOL - they were a problem 50 years ago. View Quote I went to San Francisco as far back as the mid 1990s as a kid, the last time I went was about 8 years ago. It always had some homeless people, but the city has really gone to hell more recently, along with so many others, Portland, Seattle, Reno. Those are just cities I’ve been to at least once before which have seen a sharp decline. |

Hell, Times Square is actually cleaner than it was 20 years ago (still a wretched hive of scum and villainy, though). |

CHA and HUD would move low income families onto blocks, called it block breaking. Bad shit would start happening and then everyone would start moving out and they would buy up more property. |

Just amused that someone thinks TX is some sort of refuge from this sort of diverse behavior when in reality it is actually worse there. What’s the nickname for the Greenspoint neighborhood of Houston again? And why? You mean Gunspoint? Yeah. Many, many, many years ago my company had offices near Gunspoint mall. One of the first times I ever saw a police substation inside a shopping mall. No idea if it's still there, but either way it doesn't seem to have done much for the area. I'm just glad the closest I ever get to that area is at freeway speeds on the way to the airport, and even that is rare. |

I suspect the numbers would be eye opening. As would the prescription drug list. |
