I know that this thread may get me in trouble, as this is "not allowed in HTF's". However, I receive a ton of emails from folks wondering how to let us in ban states get pre ban mags, and such.
So, as someone who wants to help us folks out, I am going to tack this thread, in order to give a heads up to get a shot at EE sales that will benefit ban staters. Also, there will be rules, and they will be strictly enforced. 1- NO LINKING EE ADS!!!!! Simply post something like: "I posted some pre ban mags in the EE." 2- If your ad is not getting traffic, please do not keep quoting your post in this thread. 3- No quoting, and posting, your EE ad here. I will NOT tolerate any deviations from my rules, and reserve the right to adjust/add to my rules. I am going out on a limb by even having this thread exist. Please do not abuse it. If anyone can think of a better name for this thread, I am open to suggestions. |

If I may . . . answers to often-asked questions:
- Yes it is legal to "import" pre-ban mags and so-called "assault weapons" into MA (guns have to go to a MA FFL). Potential buyer should check first, some MA FFLs are scared of their shadow and will not import anything. - Yes it is legal to use pre-ban mags (mfd on/before 9/13/1994) in a so-called "post-ban gun" (ones that have been Massified to meet the MA AWB). - There is a resource page here on ARfcom that identifies genuine pre-ban AR mags as well as genuine pre-ban ARs by mfr and S/N. [I'll add more when/if I think of something, I'll edit this post with additional info.] Your help is always appreciated- djsmiles |

I've been busy and remiss at not further addressing this info. The first few posts in this thread cover most of those issues. Nothing in Mass law has changed since it was posted so you can ignore the 20+ pages of stuff following the first few posts. https://www.northeastshooters.com/xen/threads/ma-assault-weapons-ban-awb-faq.157704/ |

I pulled my ad as I have since found out the flashhider and bayo lug are not factory originals (I'm not, by any stretch of the imagination) a Mini-14 expert. I was operating off false info.
The Mini is pre-ban, based on serial number, but the fh/bayo lug are not factory original and I can't guarantee when they were put onto the rifle. |
