Wasteland 2 - Every time I initiate combat all my guys randomly move about ten feet, so they are no long where I placed them.  This fucks everything up.  Is there any way to stop this, and does 3 also do this?

Setting up an ambush and then having the machine wreck it is ruining my enjoyment of the game.

As far as I can tell you can't change it. A broken mechanic in my opinion.

Director's Cut seems to have fixed this a little.
