Can anybody help me get rid of the stupid Winfixer virus that has attacked my laptop? I get the annoying pop ups every 3-5 min now and it is beyond annoying.

Hers is what I use to protect my computer and none of them have caught or deleted the program:

Mcafee virus - updated and scanned
Mcafee firewall - updated
Ad-Aware - Updated and scanned
Spybot - Updated and scanned
Spyware Doctor - Updated and scanned
Stinger anti virus - Scanned

NOTHING IS WORKING FOR ME!!! HELP!!!

I just wanted to give everyone an update and say that the fix I found seems to be working perfectly. No more pop ups from the damned virus.

good to hear,  I have had numerous systems the last couple weeks with that.   They have been more difficult than your laptop though.  most of them got fresh installs of windows
