There are a very few pistols that a person who has never shot a pistol can pick up and do well with. The 1911 is one of them.

They are really cool for the collector/cloner aspect, but have a lot of drawbacks and just don't make much sense now that railed 1911s have been a thing for 20+ years.

The Emperor's choice!

What gets me about the OP's posted abortion is that they did whatever the 1911 version of Tapco-fucking is to that pistol, and then didn't stick a dot on it.

Shame, shame, shame.

(Albeit, I am looking into sticking a dot on mine, though it'll be a biggun', and the amount of machining required is more than a little annoying.)

Or Korea.

They can be wonderfully accurate, but yeah.  The sheer amount of bullshit and maintenance to keep them running as a duty pistol...

I do wonder if anyone would bother to continue using them in precision pistol if the .45 requirement was removed.

The only real competition is the CZ TSO/2 or CzechMate and honestly, they kinda blow.

Production/CO is dominated by CZ and Tanfo.

Q5 Match?  Or is it hot garbage in comparison?  The Shadow 2 was very, very nifty.

I have several 1911's, got another one two weeks ago. Yaqui slide is my favorite. Whoever built the one in the first pick is severely misguided.

Honestly I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't in the right place at the right time.

That's why it's on the slide, to remind me I got lucky once.

I’m really tempted. If they had a steel frame option I’d be on it.

As it stands the wear concern is something I’m researching as I don’t know if it’s an actual issue or not.

Hell, why couldn’t I just anodize the frame myself?
