Yeah my last welding thread was some ridiculous shit I found on Facebook and I was shit posting. However, this is a picture of a roll cage/full tube chassis he made and welded up. He's only 23.

That looks machine welded. If he did that by hand, your title is right. Very skilled.

Beautiful welds...but...shouldn't there be more filler metal?

I am a retired Senior Certified Welding Inspector ,welded for over 20 years myself . Those welds look good as to reinforcement ( filler metal) it would depend on alloy .

Beautiful,I hope he is getting paid well for work like that.

Nice Dimes! Reminds me of a dude around here that welded in a factory job. One day the corporate wheels showed up and wanted to see the machine that made a certain weld on a certain part. They took them out in the factory and pointed to the guy and said - "There's your machine."

That looks TOO perfect to NOT be machine welded. If you say he did that by hand I have to believe you and if so, he is one really talented motherfucker...

Does he work as a welder or is it just his hobby?
Very impressive work. |

One of them owned a performance shop and was sending custom shit all over the world. He used to make a ton of stuff for mitsu evos. I hear he does a lot for GTRs and other cars of that caliber. Some people are insanely good at it. I can only do enough to make it work. Lol |

Hands as steady as a neurosurgeon. That kid has ridiculous talent.

Half of the skill in that job is in the coping and fit up of the tubing. In a one-off job, that is tedious and time consuming, so is repositioning during the welding.

Check out Morgan Clark Design, or MCD1 on the YouTubes! Him and his crew do work that!
A piece of art!!! |

Damn, agree with everyone else. For those in the know, what sort of hourly rate could someone with those skills demand?
