You find one in every car!
Repo Man was a must watch for every suburban teenage punk, along with the movie Suburbia. Back then just about the only way to listen to Hardcore was a recording, of a recording, of a recording, on cassette tape. |

The propagandist interviewer at the NASCAR race wasn’t trying to make it positive- she was covering for her party. Let’s go Brandon is as much about the total propaganda and incompetence from the news as it is about Biden...

I watched it for the first time the other night. What an interesting movie! I'm glad I saw it. More than I can say for much hollywood junk these days.

My AF supervisor in Germany would quote this movie like it was a Chappelle skit.

Thanks for the heads up. I saw it at a theater, with only a dozen people in the audience including me and a friend. I was the only person in the joint laughing. Still cracks me up just thinking about it.

My dad had this on repeat after I was born and it's the first movie I remember seeing as a child. I assume that's why I'm such a fucked up adult.

That movie is a time machine that takes me back to my high school years. Was very into the music before it was cool.

I just watched it on my IPad on a flight up to Anchorage this morning.

Not at all. Friend of mine had one. Designer of the neutron bomb. You ever hear of the neutron bomb? Destroys people - leaves buildings standing. Fits in a suitcase. It's so small, no one knows it's there until - BLAMMO. Eyes melt, skin explodes, everybody dead. So immoral, working on the thing can drive you mad. That's what happened to this friend of mine. So he had a lobotomy. Now he's well again.

Missed Stooges while Scott and Ron Asheton were still alive would’ve been nice to see with Mike Watt on bass . I had a neighbor who saw them back in Michigan in the Seventies when I was growing up. Saw most of the bands on that bill including the Damned (Dave and Capt. got into the shit with each other onstage, lol) Got a friend from Cali that says Sublime was punk early on.. Don’t discount Fishbone, saw them twice in the eighties once at GWU with Schoolly D and they tore shit up. Nonstop action. |
