He jumped out of the truck. He probably should have re-thought that move.

There is nothing on a person that is going to stop the thing that can rock an 18 wheeler.

I worked in an automotive stamping plant. My shop was back where they unloaded and stored coils. Had that shit going over my head on cranes all day long.
I don't know why that guy thought he even had a snow balls chance in hell of stopping a rolling coil. I never remembered any coil accidents. Once it was blanked and stacked on metal pallets to load into the presses was a whole other matter. Imagine a giant deck of steel cards sliding off the pallet from about 5' up when the fork lift driver fucks up. |

Used to haul steel coils, was *always* scared that 1 would get lose, come through the sleeper wall, stop AFTER it hit the steering wheel....
suicide load was always scetchy, shotgun, also, although, those would just roll off the side and drt anyone next to you. |

Quoted: Pay wall…… View Quote No, I didnt find that , but there are some really retarded people commenting on that site. More retarded than thinking you will stop a 40,000 pound steel coil from rolling like it was just a beach ball. That's unfortunate and I have seen, and worked, in a place that didn't chain the the steel coils on the ends of the bottom pyramid row, to keep exactly that from happening. That placed had some coils push out of the blocks on the floor while I was there. Last time I ever walked through that coil yard. And I didnt stay there long. Its in israel and they do not have our osha rules obviously, but chaining through the IDs of the bottom coils on the end of every row is an OSHA rule when pyramiding/stacking coils like that. |

Wow. The comments on that website.
Celebrating the guy's death because of the fucking Palestinians. |

I work in a place that deals with these coils. I’ve seen more than one employee get their hand crushed trying to stop a coil free swinging on a crane from crashing into another hard surface. Even with extensive training on how to handle these things, some peoples reflexive reaction is just the wrong one.

He must have slept through the discussion of momentum in physics class.

I think I watched one or two videos on that site years ago. Guess that was my lifetime allotment. ?????

If it makes us feel any better, I doubt most are coming from a ordinary human being with an opinion, but instead are being shoveled out there to convey the opinion of widespread antisemitism. A la billboards which 'spontaneously appeared around many major American cities, decrying the plight of the Palestinian people. I've seen a couple around Houston. Which then leads to, "Why?" And, "Who?" |

In the early nineties I was doing some work at the USS steel plant in Pittsburgh California. Going to work one morning, on the Main road headed to the plant. You could see an early 1970’s Ford pickup backed up to a tractor trailer with steel coils on the trailer. The Ford looked like it was was looking for UFO’s, the front end was angled very high to the sky. The back however was just the opposite. It looked like the Semi was broken down. The Ford backed upped to the trailer. The Genius’s in the Ford unbound the back coil and rolled it into the bed. The floor of the bed was in the dirt, with everything between crushed. No quick getaway was possible. Often wondered how that one turned out. There’s a reason semi’s will have only two in a load. They will go ten tons and up .
