This video is pretty accurate

So are you from PA and agree or are you from another state and have your own quirks or think we're all weird, you know like Florida. Discuss

Then there's the food. Snack food capital of the USA, if not the world. Potato chip companies with distribution footprints of a few counties. Pretzels! Tastykake! Ring bologna! Lebanon bologna! Cheesesteaks! Pizza! Hoagies! Birch beer!

Great fishing & hunting. Loads of public forest/hunting land and even some public shooting ranges.

Cheapest bar drinks I've ever seen.

The bad - the roads. Holy shit, the roads. The stupid liquor laws. If you thought the roads were bad, try buying a bottle of wine on Sunday. Or beer. And then there's the economy. In most of the rural parts of the state, stagnant or worse for 40 years. Upside: cheap real estate.

If I won the lottery, I'd probably move back.

Beer distributers and state stores are now open on Sundays - and - some stores can now sell beer & wine!

C'mon home, man! Times they are-a-changing!

The video was misleading about one thing, though . . . not nearly enough disgustingly obese chicks in too tight clothing!

Well you grew up a couple counties over from where I did, and pretty much nailed it. When I lived in AZ the lack of proper chips and pretzels was very disconcerting, and I would have literally sold my soul for a couple pounds of Kunzler sweet Lebanon bologna. Seriously. I'm not such a fan of the winters as you were though.

Around here Pittsburgh accents are pretty rare, you'll hear "y'all" a hell of a lot more than "yinz." I guess we have more of a hillbilly accent going on, in fact one of my good friends from Alabama said when he came up here to hunt (because we have deer that are deer sized, not dog sized like in FL where he lives now) that we all sound like we're from Birmingham almost...I'm not so sure if that's a good thing or not though.

The Loomis, the Dewdrop, Keg and Crate, the Roost, the College Inn, and getting mass quantities of taco dogs at the Hot Dog hut across the street from the Loomis after last call, waking up the next day and getting a Vinny's Special Sub as a hangover remedy...good times.

I have fond memories of Clarion in the early '90s, well what I can actually remember of it at least.

Pennsylvania has some of the most constitutional (state/federal) 2nd A freedoms in this country.

Gotta be in top 5 states nation wide

Any municipality/city in this state enacting ANY laws infringing on the 2A rights in this state outside state law WILL BE SUED. many have dropped such ordinances.

MANY THANKS GO to this man and this organization....

http://www.post-gazette.com/news/state/2015/03/15/Gun-rights-advocate-Kim-Stolfer-a-powerful-force-in-Harrisburg/stories/201503130288

And WTF does hunting have to do with 2A rights...?

Crawford checking in.

None of that is true but the no Sunday hunting.  Try again.

We can't hunt with semi-autos, that's true as well.

Yeah.    I can't read and work at the same time.  That to.

Yep, my county I just walk in, get my background check done, pay my $20, 15-20 minutes later I'm out the door with a  permit.

We're just far enough away from everything here to make it a nice place to live.

I like the 4 seasons and rolling hills. My township in southern Crawford Co. has great demographics too...99.26% civilized with 41.1 people per square mile according to Wiki.

Como esta, es tu wat

PA gun laws are OK, but no where the best. If you doubt me, try to do a legal FTF sale or gift of a handgun.

I'm not saying I'd rather spend a week in a Turkish prison, but I would definitely weigh the pros and cons.

This was probably 20 years or so ago, but 2 of the 4 girls working had C-section scars, one of the guys we were with actually thought getting a hamburger there sounded like a swell idea (we seriously thought we would have to put him down) and the guys at the next table kept pestering us asking if they could have some of our beer. BYOB strip clubs have to be rated up there with one of the circles of Hell.

The first time they showed the strip club on Banshee my GF (who is from Ohio) asked if the ones around where I grew up were like that, I almost died laughing. Seriously I was drinking a beer and almost died.

We have that exact style of sandwich in chicago too. I wish we could get Yuengling here.

There's a secret recipe for the coleslaw on that though so you can't replicate it you actually have to go to Primanti Bros.

Love the "regular" Lebanon Bologna, but not so much a fan of the sweet variety.

Oddly, I came across a deli in tiny Manzanita, OR that had some in the case recently. I had to buy some. A very odd find around here, shopkeep must be from PA.

I'm totally with you on the potato bread and Inglehoffer's.

Also, sweet Lebanon Bologna is an abomination. Pickled horse peter, my uncle calls it.

Parts of Lebanon County may be a little antiquated, but I'd never compare them to Alabama.
When the wind blows just right, I can smell Seltzer's smoking their bologna.

Well, if it's any consolation, when I'm at work and the air comes out of the south, I smell chocolate all damn day.

So are you from PA and agree or are you from another state and have your own quirks or think we're all weird, you know like Florida. Discuss

At least we have the best gun laws up in this area And a ton of redneck hillbillies to keep it that way.

Like I said in my earlier post, PA doesn't have constitutional carry or FTF pistol sales. As far as I know that's the list in its entirety as far as shit other states are better on than PA. (WV for instance requires a class for CCW permits where PA doesnt and your permit is 5x what ours costs - most every state has some things it is worse or better on) I would rank PA pretty damn good in the grand scheme of things.
