It's still four months away, but I'd figure I'd ask. Feb 12-15 in Vegas.

I would love to go if I had tickets for my IT security advisor and me. He loves Las Vegas and is getting interested in guns.
Im planning on it. How hard is it to get rooms during that time? Its gonna be my first time going so Im really stoked about it
I'll be there... I talked to Stokes about this a few weeks ago. We're going to try and set up another ARFcom get together like we did at the last Vegas Shot Show.
Yes we are!
I'm not sure if 1Gunrunner will be joining us this time, but I'm sure we'll be able to plan some sort of activities. We got a great condo this year (1200 square feet!), no stinky Circus Circus. |
Sweet... Well, I'm registered! I'll get travel and lodging arranged at some point.
you don't need one. www.shotshow.com Register as a friend of the show. it's $15. |
Ok, I must be retarded. All I see is this
Just a bit more info? Think my LEO biz card will get me in? |
Working on hotel and flight plans as we speak..uh I mean type.
I'll be there. Paid my $15 and will be guest of show. Can you actually buy anything there?
This is my 700th post????!!!! DVD- Any more "cool" shooting videos? =) |
45calmike you mostly can't buy stuff there. They are looking for real gunstores to place orders for rifles, pistols etc, not sell them to people directly. I have heard that at the end of the show some places sell stuff off rather than lug it home, but I don't know if that's true. Oh I'm thinking of going. I went last year and it was kind of cool, never been to Vegas before anyway. |
We always make it. And the Las Vegas show is the biggest and best.
Cheap airfare and cheap (and nice) hotel rooms. How you gonna beat it? |
Hotel and rental car are booked. I'll be there the 13th-16th.
Always got me in. If you can get away with it, indicate that you're a buyer. C&R license works too. |
As Aimless said, mostly no. I have bought a few things there - like an AR buttstock from Cav Arms, a mainspring housing from Ed Brown and several books. However, that’s more the exception, not the rule. Incidentally, wear comfortable shoes!! |
Thanks for the reminder! I just ordered up a bunch of passes.
We've got the condo and the flights now. We'll be there from the 10th to the 16th. Gunbert, you organizing any events yet? |
I'm in and just signed up a boatload of people in the last month! Woo Hoo!
Quoted: Gunbert, you organizing any events yet? View Quote Shit, I didn't realize I had the detail. I'm sure I can work something out. |
Can you still register as a friend of the show? I didnt see where that was listed.
Not sure, I've got an 'In' and, I've got a place to stay, but dont know yet if I can make the time.
I took the week off, will definately be there. Going to check out the LE section, see what I can with the 6.8x43mm, definately see Streamlight & Surefire's booths and go to the ARC/CPF after party.
Is anyone interested in taking a course out at Frontsight while they are out for the Shot show for $150?

I will be arriving via F-250 sometime Sat. Not sure where I'll be staying. Guess it's time to start looking. Any word on the meet and greet spot?
I'd love to go, unfortunately I don't think I have an "in" this time [:(]
Not sure I have the cash for the trip either [:(] |
I'll be there. I've got flight and hotel plans set up already.
Have ticket. May have time. I very much hope to have the time.

Hey, its only a 5 hour drive from my place. And again, how do you regester as a friend of the show??? Can't seem to get the site to reveal how it's done.

View Quote I've only heard about the "friend of the show" thing on this site. My impression was that you had to be a wholesaler retailer to get in. It's not open to the public. You need to have some business affiliation to get in. A LEO has to be (or say he is) the department buyer to get in. I had a friend that has a gun shop list me as an employee for my badge. |
When I just did my online registration at www.SHOTShow.org, it did not ask me for an FFL or Tax ID number. It did ask me the name of my company and how I heard about the show. Since I'm a previous attendee, I guess the online registration figures that I've already shown them my credintials.
After you get past the first screen, there are places to list title and business type, to include "Friend of Show". I registered 7 people this last week, never once did they ask for the FFL or TaxID numbers. All it really wanted was the $15 each. |
I'll be there again this year. Where have you decided to meet?

How 'bout we meet up at the Triple Seven Brewpub and restaurant at Main Street Station? It's pretty central to the city so it should be pretty easy for everyone to get to. If not there we could also try the Brewpub at the Monte Carlo... either one would be easy to host a group like us.
Then theres Tommy Rockers like we did a few years ago, and that worked out pretty well. What date/dates does everyone want to get together? Fri night? Sat or Sun? |
Anytime Tuesday through Saturday is good for me. We're flying out on Sunday evening.
Gunbert & Wolfpack, I have your cell numbers and I'll try to get a hold of you when I get in early afternoon on Friday.
If anyone wants my Cell # so they have a point of contact for when they come to town, IM me and I'll give it to you.
Tommy Rockers was a good meeting spot in 2002, maybe we could get that section reserved again and meet there.

Anybody got lines on hotel rooms? I just left Orbitz.com and Hotels.com and was kinda suprised at the prices[shock]. I used to get rooms at the bigger places for $100 - $150 on weekends. Now it's 2 to 5 bills, holy crap! Any one know how much they get at circus circus for the run down rooms out back?[:)] Oh'well I can always go to the brother/in/laws.[:(]

These are usually considered locals casinos, but often have pretty good prices (relatively speaking). |
