But I doubt it and it would take some major freaky fear meltdown to get enough of the American public to agree to let a NERVA-Shuttle to fly. This is a Spacex Starship thread, can we leave fuckwad commie, general all around asshole, F Jeff Bezos and his shitty "rockets" out of the thread ? Thanks! [lurk] |

Have they figured out why starship was unable to maintain controlled attitude during re-entry? Seems like more than a 'fuel slosh, we'll just change system inertia at stage separation' kind of problem. Seems more like they need much greater rcs and maybe rethinking their lifting body geometry / design.

This thread is one of my favorites and while there have been some slight detours over the YEARS it's been going, those have frequently led to some worthwhile discussion and the thread has always managed to get back on topic chatting about a shiny piece of amazing engineering. |

Your retarded logic is saying the ISS isn't in space because there is still trace atmosphere dragging on it. So comparing going straight up and down to achieving orbital velocity is closer? Lol. The Blue Origins dildo is a one trick pony, it's cool.... but useless. To even bring that up in the discussion of something with twice the thrust of a saturn V is Elon isn't worth the risk, but I'd be confident in a F9 putting him into orbit safely. Do you think Bezos would strap himself into the New Glenn right now? |
