My favorite line is..."the doctors told me that if I had worn a helemt, the extra weight would have snapped my head off!"

Nothing like a case of road rash to make you wear protective gear.

A simple, basic jacket would have made this a non-event.

I hope she's learned a valuable lesson regarding: skin=soft and smooth / pavement=VERY hard and rough.

Proper road rash requires a gravel road.

After she heals, of course.

That IS gonna leave a mark.  I've got one still from a spill on a mountain bike from about 8 years back.  Faint but still there.  I cracked the helmet and as promised by the manufacturer got a new one FREE.

That move is going to stay with her the rest of her life.

Out at the pool this last weekend my mom was heard to ask "Is that scar on your shoulder from that mountian biking accident you had?"

My answer:  "Yep"

My "accident" was 15 years ago in 1989.  She looks like she tans much better than me, so it should be much more apparent in her future.

Hmm ... a new category BBOTD - Betadine Babe of the Day!

As someone who has scar tissue over ~1/3 of my body from a fire, I can attest that she will bear the marks from this forever. Them's some deeeeeeeep wounds. On the positive side, at least maybe now she won't get skin cancer in the areas that have been relieved of their fake-bake.

I like the comment about the $1.98 tattoo. Heh.

Not being an asshole (driver) on a bike and trying to make "America's dumbest home videos" would have made it a non-event.

If he wants to smear his own idiot ass all over the pavement, that's fine. She's the one who will be scarred for life (did she know he was gonna play hero when she got on the bike?)

None of these asshats (idiots driving faster than their IQ) have read Hough (Proficient Motorcycling) and they are a screaming example of zero common-sense or responsibility.

Had she not been wearing a helmet, jackass could very well be up for manslaughter. Do what you want on a bike (or in a car or plane) but when you have a passenger, YOU are responsible for them.

(If I were that girl's father, that asshole would eat his crotch rocket)

(and for anyone who thinks I'm being a stodgy old fart, this would be no different to having the prom queen riding on the back of your ragtop in a parade, and punching it until she sails off at 70 MPH)

"the doctors told me that if I had worn a helemt, the extra weight would have snapped my head off!"
BULL SHIT!  in very few cases has a helmet killed or inflicted worse injuries. if it was not for my Arai I would be dead or worse! My bucket had the face shield ripped off and took a hell of a hit on the back of it. Even with the bucket on I still received a server concussion. New helmets are getting lighter and stronger every year! now if i had my leather jacket on my arm would not have recived the burn from the bike laying on my arm. OUCH!

This is NOT the girl in the video. Info here: www.stuntlife.com

The girl  with the road rash goes by the handle of GIXXIE, her girlfriend tending to her wounds goes by RedlineCarms. They are a bunch of Stunt Girlz. They do stunts on sportbikes. She describes how she got the road rash on page #2 of the thread above.

And if you all NEW the whole story or was there then you wouldnt all be hating on me about the GEAR! I was out tearing it up by myself with endo wheelies, etc. with my jacket then rested to record. It was so HOT while i was recording i was sweating bullets! So i jumped on the bike and went for a cool off, did one endo, cause i have CONTROLL and wasnt taking it the limit then Reed caught me and ask to have the bike i said No i am using it...so he goes FINE lets do some 2 ups...we were a ways from the truck so i get on we do a pass and he was like ok well next pass lets get your jacket...so THERE my point made...

And yes, i don't need to hear it...and CAT my roadrash is pretty sexy as all the Orlando boyz...lol and sorry for wanting to hate and say HOPE THE SURGERY goes well...Well hunny no need there are or will not be no scares.
