keep us informed if you get a host. |
I can host it overnight if you can somehow email it to me.
Let me know and Ill give you address |
I'll probably be able to host it next week. I'll post back when I'm sure.
ETA: Let me know the file size, please. |
The thing is an hour and a half long. I can't host it myself. I cannot possibly make DVDs for everyone who wants one. I cannot afford to. I do have the ability to duplicate a few dvds at a time. Anyone have any ideas?
I would like a copy myself.
Any idea what a blank DVD would cost? Tagged. Thanks, BigDozer66 |
chuck and miller, I don't think I will be able to email it. What I can do is to burn it to a DVD and mail it to you if you want to host. Let me know what format you want it in. right now it is basically in .mov but I am rendering it and going to convert it into Mpeg2 for DVD playback.
Yeah, I am going to have to compress it. right now the Quicktime file is at 17 gigs.... he he (1hr;22min) |
Can you MX it? |
Eghads... 90 minutes. If I could get it in VHS format I could run it through a divx codec and get that down to.. oh.. 200-300mb at best but I sure can't host it. Wow.. I didn't realize it was that long, and I'm sorry to back out on ya.
yeah chuck. Right now it is raw uncompressed .mov file. let me see what I can do with it. I can also mail you a DVD and you can stream it in and work your magic. Wanna do that?
I can host it on my FTP site. IM me if you'd be interested.
4-6 Megabit/sec Downstream (to me) 512K/sec Upstream (from me) I can only take it in a compressed format. No raw video. |
Set up a Torrent?
Oh, and if you're going to post it, please post it in a format that is easy to turn to an MPEG. I want to make VideoCDs out of it. |
Chuck, how much (in minutes) could you host? Maybe we can break it down into segments and you can host part 1 and someone else can do part 2 etc....
I could set up a torrent. I am not sure how to do it but I have the software installed on my system. Is it easy to do AW101?
AW - what format do you want me to make it into? |
If you give me one I promise to send 10 copies to ten other team members.... |
+1 (Just wondering how long that would take?) |
If someone can get me a DVD copy of it or point me to where I can download a file ready to be burned to DVD, I will be happy to make 2 copies. 1 for a person that doesn't have a DVD burner and 1 for a person that does. The person that does can then make 2 copies the way I did and so on. Maybe we can get a list of those with DVD burners that are willing to do this. Hell, I'll even make 2 copies for those without DVD burners if someone else with a DVD burner agrees to do the same.
Yes please do I missed it. |
Uh, I can make copies of DVD's and/or CD's too. I''ll volunteer 10 copies.
I think Grunteled may end up hosting the file. I can also send out a few DVD format ones and get that rolling as well.
What size file are we looking at? Less than 600MB?
If someone can get a copy to me I'll host it on WinMX for arfcom members. |
use the XVID codec to encode it. Its prolly the best available.
I would like a copy please. I cannot burn DVDs, but will be glad to pay for any costs associated with it.
I can make a DVD but I don't know how to get it down to a 600 mb VCD size. If you want to do that I can send you a DVD and you can convert it.
AZ, Rowley, Bulldog, - IM me your addresses so I can send you a DVD.
Can we BT. Or I ve have to hope some puts it up on surpnova.
I have a DVD duper. |
Unfortunately, I do not know how to do XVID or the like. If anyone wants to compress it in such a format, and you are able to, let me know and I will make sure you are provided with a DVD copy to work with.
Otar, if you can make it into something that could be hosted. IM me your address and I will get you a DVD mailed out tomorrow.
IM sent |
