Washington State is lost. Don't worry, I didn't throw away all my votes, I voted for Rossi, Nethercutt, who will lose anyway. I voted for the courts based on the NRA ratings.
Anyway, thats what I did. -Absolut- is probably going to start a petition to ban me

Good for you. I voted for Bush because I am in a "battleground" state.

That's what I'm going to be doing. Looked at the NRA ratings, whoever had a C- or less was failed and shitlisted.

I would vote for Badnarik, but there's no chance in hell of him even winning a district here. Most of the people I've talked to haven't heard of him - not surprising considering some people on "jaywalking" think that Ross Perot was the 3rd President.

I would but I just can't do it, I believe Bush to be the best for the job even if he would never repeal the '86 ban and Badnarik would if he could.

I will be doing the same thing in Arkansas.  However, I will be voting GOP for House, Senate, and local people, because they represent true conservative ideals.  Even though the race for Senate is a lost cause, I will still be voting for Holt.  *sigh*

I actually voted for three or four democrats, but thats because they are good guys, I've even met some of them, and the Rpublican challengers....one was a criminal and probably insane, and a few had no platform. Ouch.

DO YOU KNOW WHY WASHINGTON STATE IS LOST?

DO YOU?

BECAUSE PEOPLE VOTED FOR SOMEONE ELSE.

THINK ABOUT IT.

THINK ABOUT IT.

Let em bitch, becuase they bitch about that or something else.  If we won the popular vote too, they'd just complain about more voter fraud and intimidation at the polls.

It's not like they could ever get the Electoral College removed.  That'd take a constitutional amendment, and I highly doubt any of those 'flyover states' are going to give up what little power they retain in the Electoral College by ratifying such and ammendment.

I voted for Bush as a libertarian in Texas; but I think you did good.

Because you cast your vote for Badarnik there in Washington (which Bush is not even close to winning), some LP-leaning voter in a swing state can cast his vote for Bush without worrying that the Republicans aren't getting the message.

Personally, I'd have probably done the same; but the LP is wrong on the war on terror and they nominated a candidate I simply cannot take seriously. I wouldn't have voted for Badarnik even if I thought he could win because I don't think he is entirely stable.

Facts are stubborn things:
Badnarik on Terrorism
Badnarik on Iraq
A quote from Badnarik: "The War in Iraq is a failure, and the U.S. government should never have waged it... People in the Middle East do not hate us for our freedom. They do not hate us for our lifestyle. They hate us because we have spent many years attempting to force them to emulate our lifestyle."

Combat Jack---

I see that it is your right to vote for who you think is the best president.

What i don't see, is the fact that when there is no way that Badnarik wins, you still vote for him.

Why wouldn't you vote for the guy with a chance to win, that represents you in a better way?

I really don't understand anyone that votes for Badnarik, or anybody else that isn't kerry or bush.

I mean, they arn't going to win, so why wouldn't you vote for the better of the two possible canidates?

Yes. If people are truly interested in voting for the candidate that would come closest to representing their views in every way, they would write in their own names.

Since there are but two VIABLE candidate, choose the one of these closest to your views.

I've had some of the same thoughts as the original poster, but I won't vote until tuesday.

I thought for a minute about voting for a 3rd party candidate, but when I got done taking a dump I realized something I think is important.

John Kerry isn't just a democrat, he represents the left-wing, socialist part of the democratic party. It's an extreme positon, that requires complete repudiation.

As another member of WA state, I'm going to vote for Bush. Will he win WA state? I doubt it. But I want to send a strong message, both locally, and nationally that the radical left is not welcome outside Seattle.

And I want that message to be loud and clear.

How on earth is Badnarik "more"??  Did you read the links in the post above yours?
