Its easy. Clean part, bake in oven till it reaches 100 degress then paint and finally cure in oven at 300 degrees for one hour. You need an airbrush or some other cheap paint gun to spray it though. Some say harbour freight sells one that works good for $20. It matches park great. |

Duracoat is another option. Doesn't have to be baked and comes in a shitload of colors.
Brasspile has done some extremely nice work with the stuff. |

Why not actually Parkerize the thing? It's simple as hell, and the manganese phosphate can be had in bulk cheap at pottery supply stores.
For a long metal tank, grab a stainless drywall mud pan from Lowe's / Home Depot. |

Duracoat Matte Black looks good, and is as durable as park.
Home park jobs don't turn out so good. Depending on what you have, take it down and just send the parts to be parkerized off to a shop and it will be done MUCH better and faster for about $100 (if you do the detail work). Then put Matte Black on top of it and you have pretty much an indestructable finish. I don't have any shop set up right now, hopefully soon, the foundation to garage has been poured again, just gotta put walls and a roof on and a stove in it before it snows. <crossing fingers> www.lauerweaponry.com are great people to deal with. |

i belive hot blue is actually dont in a tank with a heated source cold is done with polishing and applying at room temp..may be wrong not sure
