Negative.

Pimp out your next 1911, but leave that one as is. If it was good enough fer Grandpa, it's good enough for you!

That is NOT your grandpa's 1911! It's somebody's butchering of one. And hell, I don't even particularly care for 1911s!

What model is that?

I have the "Ultra Compact" for those times you don't like the extra 2inches of slide in you asscrack, but that is , well i don't know what it is!

The Ultra compact has higher sights, a Wide beaver tail, and a enlraged safety catch, so thats not what that is!

It'll be a nice carry gun anyway, easily concealable!

Btw, within normal pistol distances it will be fine, but my "Ultra Compact" likes to hit 3-4 inches low at 25Yards, I found this out practicing head shots and hitting "Mr. 27" in the throat every shot!

P.S. I also have two other full size Springfields, One i customized and one that is a "Loaded" Model, i use as my duty weapon!

The one i customized , I put a "ED BROWN" stainless Barrel kit in, a Ed Brown custom oversized safety, it has been milled and "Bo Mar" adjustable sights installed and a "Smith- Alexander"  flat mainspring housing, a Custom grip safety and aftermarket Hammer, and for the final touches a set of Crimson trace Laser grips!! I can't wait till the snow Disipates so i can access the range to try it out for accuracy!!!

BTW, My "Loaded" model outshot my range instructor at qualifications and he had the Kimber Target, he paid 350 dollars more for, boy was he pizzed!!!!!

So THIS is what they do with all the slides that crack at the dust cover!
All kidding aside, congrats--I just picked up a SA 1911 myself last week

Grandpa must have been missing two inches of barrel and about 3/4" of grip...

Nah, It's just the little concealed carry version of the SA USGI. Like mine, only stumpier!

Plant that and give it water and love and it will grow up into a gun.

I want a Kimber TLE RL II, or the Springfield Operator.

But I got to pay for a Cruze first. Than more Toys!

Nice gun. Springfield makes fine weapons.

Love 1911 .45s. Got Les baer TRS, Kimber Ultra rcp2, and Springfield loaded lightweight.

Next 1911 will be a 10mm, maybe Colt delta maybe custom. Then hopefully Sig will come out with a 1911 Gsr in .357 sig.
