here is my S&W Family.. Baby bear, Mama bear and Papa bear....

Papa Bear is a 629 Classic DX..

Well, as long as we're dragging out the S&W family photos...

Alas, the only .44 in the picture (the only .44 S&W I currently own) is the 629 Classic in the bottom-right.

I'm trying to get my hands on a few more N-frames.

I'll settle for a 24-3 if I have to but I would prefer to get a Pre-24 1950s Target Model 44Spl, same goes for a Pre-25 Target Model 45ACP.

I'm hog wild for 1950s Target Model styled N-frames, my 38/44 Outdoorsman is a hell of a gun and was my grandfathers revolver.    Never really got to know him before he passed away but it is certain that if he had lived a few years longer we would have shared our interest in shooting.

Here's my N-frame collection as she sits now.     Looking for a Pre-27 that matches my 38/44 exactly.     Hard coming by older collectable N-frames here in Ca. though with the stupid handgun safety law, everything has to be party/party transfer if it isn't on the list.

I love blued N-frames.    Hate stainless and also hate the "mountain gun" stuff they have now with that ugly gold laser engraved crap.      I wish they'd make a limited run of 10mm Auto N-frames with a blued finish, the 610 sings to me as a moon clip gun but I don't want stainless.

I figure I have 5-6 guns left to aquire.     A proper P&R 29-2, the much desired Pre model number 1950 Target Models in 44Spl and 45ACP, if I have to I'd settle for a model 26 and 24 with proper barrel taper, a 6 1/2 inch barreled Pre-27 with Patridge front sight, and ofcourse a Model 57 to round it out.

Oh yeah, I like the 25-2 (I like 'em all!)

My personal favorite.  (Not mine, but identical.)

Not that I didn't enjoy this post, or admire the .44, there are worthwhile firearms forums all over this board. General Discussion is not specifically a firearms board, or it wouldn't be called "General", would it?
