You people have no compassion. Extreme times call for extreme measures. There was a severe heat advisory here yesterday. I can relate to the plight of our bretheren. I'm entitled to a much bigger TV. Should I have to suffer in my air conditioned house with a puny 27" TV? Of course not. Should I have to pay for such critical sustenance? Hell, no. I should be able to go out and take one because I'm inconvenienced in some small way. We must all work together. After all, no way I can move such a large TV all by myself. I need at least 2 or 3 guys to help. I'm sure they're in the same plight, so they will also need large TV's. We shall also need someone with a big truck, because I want a TV bigger than my car.
 Though, these people do deserve some consideration. It's not like they're all looting because they're criminals. Some really just want food and water. Those people are somehow different because they need what they're stealing. Since we can't tell who is who, I recommend we start a campaign to help these people in a way we can all understand. Bullets For Looters(*) is the name of my new project. Please contribute if you can. (*) Bullets may show minor wear marks. Brass, primers and powders not included. Some assembly required. Delivery prepaid in single unit lots. |

BINGO. Looters are opportunists, not people in need. Relief efforts were being planned and prepared for even before the storm hit. Nobody down there is going to starve. Very few are in any real danger of dehydration. If they can get to a store to loot, they can get to the many relief areas being set up to give people aid. Liberals are complete idiots. And crap like they are spewing in that DU thread is EXACTLY the reason they should never be given power or any serious consideration. |

15. Won't the stores count it as an insurance write-off anyway? It's not like it's stuff they can turn around and sell if it's been in or near that toxic soup. They'll write it off on the insurance as destroyed, so someone might as well get some use out of it. If my yarn shop were up and running and something like that happened, I would have to write it all off as destroyed. No one would buy the yarn after it's been in that "water" (and whatever all's in that stuff). If someone wanted it, I'd already be getting money for it from the insurance I've paid through the nose for, so they'd be welcome to it. Heck, I'd even offer them a job for coming back and cleaning out when the waters recede. I guess the insurance company has an unlimited supply of money that it gets from the money tree to hand out to people. Fucking morons. Everytime something like this happens they charge everyone a little more to recoup the loss. |

And they would be the first to call 911 when the thugs come in to take their TV.

They justify their criminal and morally bankrupt philosophies with some romanticized Robin Hood bullshxt. The "wealthy" people they steal from probably worked 12 hours a dam day for 6 1/2 days a week just to keep the business runing.
