Fishing in a small creek.  Cought several fish..greyish, no scales, kinda like a catfish, a body kinda like a catfish, but a mouth like a bass.  It also has horns.  Yes horns.  4 fricking sharp horns on its forehead.

Weirdest darn things I have ever seen.  Never did figure out what they were.

Scientists Plan Search for Bigfoot-like Creature

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (AHN) - "Bigfoot" fever has gripped Malaysia in recent weeks, prompting two teams of scientists to plan treks into the rainforest in search of a huge ape.

There have been several sightings in recent weeks of a tall, gorilla-like creature in the forest around the state of Johor.

"Yes, the state government has decided to send teams of scientists to try and track it," a state official who declined to be named told Reuters.

There are several species of large apes that inhabit the region, but they are not usually found in this area of Malaysia.

In a dramatic sighting, one local said he said a 10-foot tall ape, standing, next to a river.

The first team of scientists will try and locate the creature; the second will actually study the animal.

The sightings were reported in Endau-Rompin national park, which spans about 49,000 hectares.

"Natives who live in the jungle have seen it for generations and their legends call it the 'snaggle-toothed ghost'," Vicent Chow, who works in the area and has often lobbied the state government to investigate past sightings, told Reuters. "Now we need forays by scientists to find it."

Some odd years ago  a few friends and I were camping ,
and we saw what looked like a large monkey/gorilla like creature
late at night.
We were like ,12 years old.
It was a full moon ,so we could barely see it ,and it was not alone.

We couldn't see the others but we heard sound and could see
movement.
At first they seemed kind of small ,when bigfoot legends say ther huge.

Then it stood strait up and looked at us from on top of a fallen tree ,
made some noises ,and they disappeared.

I nearly shit myself !
We were kids and it really scared the crap out of us.

Once the sun broke ,we were gone.
Until then we hugged any weapon we could find and stoked the fire.

Nobody at home believed us ."Dumb kids, just afraid of the dark".

Whatever ,we were freaken scared.

A few days later there was an article in the paper about how some
escaped circus monkeys were recovered for some traveling circus.
Yup ,one of them was trained to stand as strait up as possible
and "speak".

They passed right threw the area we camped in.
My father nearly laughed his ass off !

I did image searches.  I think that is probably it.  Some of the pics look "close enough", so it was probably a subset of the species.

I've spent a lot of my life outdoors.

Yes, I've seen more I don't know what it is than I can possibly remember let alone count.  The latest was yesterday.  I have no idea what any of them were and its been decades since I even speculated.

After a few dozen times of vainly trying to figure out what you saw or finding some mundane answer, you learn to ignore it and go on.

Tj

ive seen some wierd stuff also, and some of it defys explanation. i live with it, and a SIG under my pillow.
