Hillary Clinton Awarded Purple Heart

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has put in for a Purple Heart - and she received her the decoration yesterday.

The former first lady garnered the award without being wounded in combat - or sustaining any kind of injury at all - as is usually the case with Purple Heart recipients.

Neither has Clinton ever served in the military, though in a 1994 TV interview she claimed she once tried to join the Marines.

Instead, Mrs. Clinton received a symbolic award from the Military Order of the Purple Heart "in recognition of her inspirational leadership and dedicated service to America’s military service members and America’s veterans."

"I am honored to receive the Inspirational Leadership Award from the Military Order of the Purple Heart,” Hillary said, in a statement posted to her web site announcing the award.

"The Purple Heart medal symbolizes service and sacrifice to our nation. I consider it a privilege and duty to work on behalf of combat wounded active duty servicemembers and veterans and I will continue to make them one of my top priorities."

The former first lady's web site also noted that "Senator Clinton has been an unwavering champion in the fight to recognize the heroism of those who have received the Purple Heart" by co-sponsoring legislation for a Purple Heart commemorative stamp.

Clinton's statement went on to explain:

"The Order of the Purple Heart for Military Merit, commonly known as the Purple Heart, is the oldest military decoration in the world in present use. The Purple Heart is awarded in the name of the President of the United States to members of the Armed Forces who are wounded in conflict with an enemy force, or while held by an enemy force as a prisoner of war, and posthumously to the next of kin of members of the Armed Forces who are killed in conflict with an enemy force, or who die of a wound received in conflict with an enemy force."

The article says she was given an Inspirational Leadership Award from the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

That is not the same thing as a Purple Heart.

You need to read the fine print. She was awarded a "symbolic award" from the "Military Order of the Purple Heart". She didn't receive a "Purple Heart".

It still should have been awarded posthumously.

The US military awards Purple Hearts. The Military Order of the Purple Heart are a group of veterans who do not have the authority to give Purple Hearts. She launched a petition so that the Purple Heart Stamp doesn't get discontinued by the US Postal Service. For her deed, she got a symbolic award. The Military Order of the Purple Hearts can dish out awards, not medals, to whoever they want to.

That has all the hallmarks of a classic Clinton lie.  The Clintons and Gore habitually tell these obviously false and utterly unnecessary lies that make them seem like better, wiser people by what they saw, thought, or did years ago.  Sometimes the lies are personal anecdotes like this Marine lie from Hillary that aren't possible to check against reality, but sometimes their lies are about policy matter, policy positions, or votes that are easily checked.  The idea that Hillary seriously ever enterained the remotest idea of joining the USMC is so fatuous. Yet she lies to your face without a second thought, expecting you to believe every word, as if she thinks you're an idiot and she's got you completely snowed.

Is this an actual Purple Heart, or a different award? Seems like she wouldn't be eligible for a real Purple Heart!

i'm reading this and it seems to me she was symbolically awarded a purple heart. it's kinda disgusting that she went out seeking the award instead of them coming to her...

ETA: man, i wonder if she's gonna show up wearing the little enamel lapel pin...

You have to really go out and "earn" the plaque. They just dont hand them out for little  tasks.
I know a couple of people here that have recieved their plaque and it involves a few years of being a volounteer for them, and helping out ther Recipients of the Medal

At the end of the day, she did good for the MOPH, or she would ot have recieved it

I wonder if the She-Bitch Ho Bag actually submitted a request for a purple heart.  It wouldn't surprise me.

If she did then the plaque was a slap in the face.  "No you can't have a medal, but here's a shiney piece of wood with some writing on it".

EXACTLY.

All the details about the fact that this isn't a "real" Purple Heart will be lost in the MSM and ONLY the words "Hillary Clinton" and "Purple Heart" will be heard again and again.

People like her and those that wish to be ruled by the She-Bitch are the lowest form of lying, rat-fucking scum on the planet.  NOTHING matters but obtaining power to forward their agenda by ANY means possible.  Pesky little things like "integrity" and "truth" are considered a vice to these traitors of America.

She just tarnished the entire meaning of the purple heart.  If she knew anything about what it actually ment, then she would have declined politely because she was not:  1.  In the military.  2.  Wounded in battle.
