I dont know if any of you are aware but CA is in the process of trying to pass a microstamping bill... it has passed the assembly and we need to stop it at the Governor's desk. REDHORSE was kind enough to post the phone number and selections in the CA HTF... If you dont visit the CA HTF here are the numbers"
If you are going to bash CA in this thread... save your breath. This can hit YOUR STATE if it succeeds here. Which in turn will raise prices of semi auto handguns EVERYWHERE ETA: Link to CA HTF thread: ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=11&t=280429&page=1 |

Did it on my wifes cell. She still has her 626 area code. |
Just found the other cell phone at home and called again. Line was clear for me.
Takes less than a minute guys. Please take a minute out of your day and do your part. |
Since the number is a not a toll-free number it won't matter from where you call. |
Good Luck guys, you are the front line on the gun control issue.
I sent an e-mail and also let my opposition be nboted by the phone.
I've been calling, e-mailing, and faxing before the NRA notice even came out. Matter of fact, I'm gonna give it another round!
Vote early, Vote OFTEN people! |
Consider those keys bashed. |
Trying again in a few minutes...
Busy signal. Hopefully this helps... |
Thanks to all out of state ARFCommers who help us out on this....
Anybody can call and we need all the help we can get.... |
You guys still have guns?
Sorry couldn't resist . Call made, good luck with this. It would be nice for Arnold to grow a pair and veto this shit. Edit: All your page 2 is belong to CA gunowners |
im out of state will my call contribute?
eta: I re-read the first page I will call first thing in the moringing. cali needs to become a progun state and THEN set an example for the rest of the country. lots of musicians and movie starts have their ccw so naturally california is more needful of firearms than us lowly middle income citizens |
Done and done. Made the call and submitted an email. Ahnold better do the right thing...unlike the .50cal ban.
Good Attitude! If everyone out there had that kind of spirit you'd have great success.
I hear ya man - every year we have to fight the AWB and now we don't even have a Republican Govenor to veto it should it manage to pass. |

Called from home and faxed in.
Need to make sure I call from all the phones at work tomorrow. |

Hmmm..... Vegas is just "LA East" now.... think they'll take my call?
Good luck. |
I made 2 calls. Make that 3.
ETA. Edit the thread title to add FIREMISSION!!! |

I called and voiced my opposition. I don't know if my vote will count since I live outside of California, but I figured it was the least I could do to help. Living in Maryland, I know what it is like to be behind enemy lines.
Good luck, guys, both for your sake and the sake of the rest of the nation. California often leads the nation, for better or worse. ETA - I posted this in the CA hometown forum thread, but it is worth repeating here: When writing the governor, in addition to the arguments you have already made against micro-stamping (stamp can be defaced, criminals can use revolvers or stolen guns, etc.), you might want to mention the experience Maryland has had with ballistic fingerprinting technology. Maryland instituted a ballistic fingerprinting database back in 2000. Every new handgun sold in Maryland must be supplied with a factory fired cartridge that is sent to the State Police by the FFL and entered into a database. The state has logged cartridges for tens of thousands of handguns at a cost of millions of dollars and untold hours of manpower, but the database has yet to solve even a single case. It is so useless that even the State Police have officially recommended that the program be abandoned and the money be put to an effective use in other programs. Ballistic fingerprinting doesn't work here. There is no reason to expect it will work in California. All it is a a de facto tax/ban on handguns. You can read a little bit more here. |

Thank you for that tidbit. I was not aware. |
It's busy. I'll try again later for the sake of my family living behind enemy lines. Good luck..
done |
You're welcome. I am aware that the two ballistic fingerprinting technologies aren't exactly the same (simple fired cartridge versus a micro-stamped cartridge), but I believe the concept is similar enough that comparisons are warranted. |

Called from both phones and emailed twice... got through with no problems
will call again in the morning |
This bill is also being looked at the Federal level.
Beware...! And bump for massive calling in----------------
Two calls and one email . . . auf Deutsch, natürlich! |
i called and phone voted.
the nice recording says the governator values my opinion :D |
It should have never even made it out of the assembly but with people like Mayor Antonio "Look at me cheat on my wife" Villaraigosa going on TV and promoting this bill publicly, They are winning over the hearts of the sheeple.
Finally got in this morning (got busy signal about 20 times last night).
Hopefully it helps... Edited to claim ownership O' page 3 |
Done. Arnold did good frying Tookie.
Lets hope he does good again. As Cali goes, you know the rest. |
