For months I was told that I just had to join this site and that once I did, it would become an addiction. Well, now I finally have something worthy of posting. Let me regale you with a draw down tale...
I arrived home after an exciting day of roller coaster riding to find that my father had yet again left the front door unlocked and the back door hanging wide open. This is actually quite common, despite my frequent protests. He seems to think that no one would ever try break in or anything. Irritated, I locked the front and back doors and did a cursory check of the upstairs rooms, but I didn't check the basement because it's super creepy down there. Dad had taken the dog, not that she'd be any help, so I was alone. I slipped into bed and was nearly asleep when I heard footsteps. Terrified, I waited and then heard them again. The basement! I should have checked the basement. They probably heard my keys and ran for cover. My heart was beating so fast and I thought, "Oh my god, someone is really in the house, they're going to find me and kill me!" Then I remembered that I had a gun. I put my glasses on, because there was no way I could get to the bathroom and put in my contacts, and grabbed my Smith and Wesson model 10 snub nose and my mag light. I opened the door to my room as softly as I could and tip toed excruciatingly slowly down the hallway. "Oh this is going to be terrible, I don't want to have to kill someone and deal with all that litigation" I thought as I rounded the corner into the living room. The light was on in the kitchen, and that's when I could hear the dog. It was only my dad. I came into view and told him that leaving the doors unlocked and wide open was perhaps the worst thing that he could do for his health. I was so furious, but all he could say was, "Didn't you hear me talking to the dog?" Needless to say, it was nearly impossible to get back to sleep. http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/8646/allypaintgp2.png Edit: Picture of me in Cozumel, and one of me and my little brother http://photos-b.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v188/40/31/62102238/n62102238_31661993_5841.jpg http://photos-238.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-sf2p/v54/40/31/62102238/n62102238_30699891_3887.jpg |
