I have a state arms rebel.  They aren't extremely well known but make a nice rifle.I

I'm going to have to buy a repeater next time.  I don't love the bushmaster, but its price is hard to turn away from.

Enjoy it without worry, it's a solid gun.  Not some fly by night job.

I own a State Arms Shorty. It utilizes the same action/bolt you have.

Mine, is highly modified for Benchrest Matches in the FCSA

Mod's are

Action bedded in Manners Carbon Fiber Stock
34" Feddersen Barrel with Armalite AR-50 Brake (much better than the SA it originally had)

Front & Rear Slides made for Rests used in match.

If I knew how to post a picture here I would. If you want to see it, PM me and I can send them to you direct.

Lastly, the gun shoots far better than my abilities. It shot a .6 MOA 6-7/16"  and a .2 MOA 2-5/8" ( 2.438" )5 shot groups at the FCSA WC this year in Raton, NM
