I'm sick tired of waiting on Ciener kits and from what I've heard their customer service also sucks. I would love to have LaRue make a .22 conversion kit for the AR15 that will work with the Black Dog mags. If you make .22 conversion kits you would sell truckloads of them. It would probably be your biggest seller! |

a stealth 22 complete upper... that would be the sweetness(with LaRue can and QD tango down vert grip) as long as we are wishing

Mark could, if he wanted, reproduce the Ciener unit exactly, as the patent expired several years ago. However, I'm sure Mark would be able to improve the kit substantially. And yeah, if Mark started making .22 kits, he'd essentially have found a new way to print money as I'd be very surprised if he was able to ever keep the units in stock. In any case, I imagine LT's got bigger fish to fry at the moment. |

Don't know about that since Spike's Tactical is spose to be working on a redesigned Ciener. But the more the merrier. I would probley go with a Larue first. |

A LaRue .22 conversion for the AR would be the precious, I must haveses it.
What a great idea! |

I think this thread is ironic. |

Mr. LaRue,
For what it's worth, I was talking with my department's armorer's and Quarter Master yesterday about the cost of Ammo and how much it's killing our training. We all agreed that a .22 specific upper would be the answer to our problems but we all agreed that there wasn't a reliable enough kit on the market right now. If one were produced, I'd be in for one myself and I know my department would be buying at least 10 kits. And I'll second the motion to work with Magpul for a .22 P-mag, especially if they could get the weight of a .22 P-mag to be about the same as a standard loaded AR-15 mag by filling in the empty space with their Polymer. +1 Right Click, Save Piture As... I have a mysterious tingling feeling in my boys right now! |

at least give us an ETA and expected pricing...? I need to know if I can hold out for this or not |
So does that mean it's in the works? If so, the line starts behind me! |
Um, what he said. |
I'm shopping for a .22 kit for my AR's now, and a LaRue one would be the must buy top of the list one.
Consider this a tag for pricing and availability! |
How ironic? 6 months? This year? Please don't tease us..... |

PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE!
<-----Credit card standing by for the moment a LaRue .22 conversion kit is available. Bucky145 |

by the way, if you need a beta tester I've got a range nearby and a lot of free time.. just let me know.

I feel your pain I cancelled an order at model 1 cause they wouldnt answer emails regardin order status and then I ordered a spikes 22 upper... |

Mark:
You'd better not be fucking with us. If you are, we're gonna collectively kick your cyber-ass. |
Holy shit I've been putting off getting a .22 kit forever, but if LaRue is going to put one out then put me down! Be sure to adapt it to the ACR/Masada when they come out too.
Any time frame? I'm planning on ordering a Ceinar in April or May but would hold off a couple extra months if Larue makes one.
I was going to order a dedicated .22lr upper until I read this thread on Thursday. I set aside the funds and was gonna place an order Friday morning.
I sooooooo want this to happen. Are we talking a LaRue conversion kit or a Larue .22lr dedicated upper????? |
Hell I have a Cav-Aid lower coming in and I do need something to slap on top...
Count me in. |
I am very much in need of a good, reliable 22LR upper that I can use for training my children. I have two other 22-cal rifles (a bolt and a pump), but I want to have the option of training them on the operation of an AR at an early age, and 22LR is the way to go.
I would prefer something that looks like a stock M4 from the outside. I would probably want it floated, with an F-marked FSB or a dedicated flip-up front, so that I could either use my Colt carrying handle, a BUIS, or an electronic sight on it. That would maximize it's utility to me as a trainer. |
I'd be interested in selling them. Just send me info. We are already a distributor for Black Dog Machine Mags.
That was a good idea to do that. If this happens I am thinking I will have to buy at least two. One for me and one for the wife. |
Our department is looking into the same thing. I just ordered one from Spikes to try out but competition will produce a better product. The uppers will pay for themselves after a couple thousand rounds go through them. This would give us much more training time.
I am up for one for my M16. It must work in full auto mode, 11 1/2" barrel, and have great 30 round magazines.
