Who would be up for a run of 556 PredatAR's?

I have one in 5.56. I would love a .308 though.

The 2nd is not about hunting, it never was. It was put in place for one reason and one reason only. You can't have them, we won't give them up, so get over it.

I just need a stripped 308 upper.

I'm in the process of putting together a poor man's PredatAR with a Stealth 2.0 upper/handguard and a 16" PredatAR barrel. I managed to score a stripped LaRue lower from a shop in Vegas a couple days ago, as well. Must have been the last one they had, too, because I started thinking I should order another one and went back on their site and they are now showing sold out.

Nothing poor about it… that’s awesome! That’s a worthy project. Post it up once you’re finished. |

I have a guy local to me that does really good Cerakote work, so I'm going to drop off the upper/handguard and lower with him and have him coat it in Midnight Bronze. So, it might be a few weeks before I get it finished up, but it should end up pretty sexy. |

I like the midnight bronze idea. Good call.

Since you can't get a tAR the Q Sugar Weasel 16" is my go to recommendation for a 556 rifle. It is extremely nice and light weight. It weighs less than my tAR. SW also come with an adjustable GB. Plus the price tag is $1300-1600 depending.
I'd seriously consider one of those rifles if you want a lightweight 556 16" rifle. |

Its almost identical. Curious about the medium contour barrel in it! I sold off a 12” UU build because the heavy barrel felt unbalaced. |

Anyone hunting for an upper, @Subinoob posted one in the EE.
If I hadn’t scored one in January, I’d be all over this. |
