We aren't allowed in the RECCE / SPR threads, so post the 14.5s and smaller here!
I borrowed the name from another member

RIFLES/SBRs ONLY, PLEASE.  No Pistols or "PDWs" with braces, etc.  You pistol peeps have an entire subforum for that stuff.

14.5" and shorter, free floated, variable mag optic - LPVOs are great!  Please no magnifiers, or ACOGs..

Noveske Crusader upper
WMD NiB BCG
Vortex Razor HDII 1-6x
Seekins forged lower
Seekins billet lower parts
Geiselle SSAe
VLTOR IMod and RE
Sprinco Blue and H2
BCM Mod1 grip

I'm unsure on this one. I think this may be a dumb configuration, but I had the scope sitting around.

It is a 10.3 5.56 with a Trijicon Accupoint 1-6. Given the limitations of the 10.3, I don't think the scope is giving me much over a red dot/magnifier.  But, the scope is limited as the reticle has no hold offs for drop.  In my mind the scope has about the same utility as a red dot with a 6x magnifier.

If I could do it all over I would go with an 11.5-12.5 and a different scope. I also have a MK18 with an eotech/mag as my primary CQB type carbine.

Just mocked up with no barrel, but you can see where this is going. This is where the can would be with a ~11.5" barrel. I have a 13.7" Noveske on the way, but still considering a change.

If it helps you at all, this is a 13.9.

Sadly, no. A deadair sandman S Mil.

Its a TAC FDE upper - anchor forge, 12.5" PRI hand guard, 13.7" Noveske barrel, NOX9 and the can.

Eventually I'll probably pin and weld it with the NOX and grab a different lower for it. It's kind of a vibe with no muzzle device though.

I lucked out and a guy at the range had a Lab Radar. I told him I’d give him $5 if he let me shoot a couple different rounds. You had to get the suppressor pretty close to pick it up. The Indian M193 I had was faster than I thought out of the 13.9” Criterion Core.

It’s Indian Ordnance. I bought 2 800 rd cans back when it was pretty cheap. Got it through KR Armory.

14.5 Larue rifle ( a complete upper and a complete lower that I found seperately and clicked together ) - Sig 1-6 Tango-MSR - was unsure of this vs the 1-10x I have.

Finally got the 13.9 I build for my dad out to the range.

What buffer is everyone running on their 13.9 middy? This was short stroking unsuppressed with 223 55gr and a pretty stout 60gr HP hand load. Suppressed it ran perfect and ejected at 3-4 o clock. Was running a STT2 buffer. Just swapped in a carbine to see if that helps.

That barrel must have a small port or something isn't aligned right. Mine would eject at 1 o'clock suppressed with an h3 or a5h3 and tons of extra gas to face. Ended up making a gas block insert to get the gas right with an a5h2.

Yeah I’m running an H3 and Springco blue just to get 2 o’clock with an RC2.

It's a BA barrel. Checked the block seemed to be right on the money. Reviewed the chrono and the 55gr load was only doing 2700fps at sea level at 65 degrees. So the stuff was really slow. The factory Armscor choked up too and was only about 100fps faster.

With my 762RC it ran perfect

the Griffin SOB with springco blue has worked great on the 13.7" rosco midlenght upper,  KAC factory HH buffer and springco blue on my 13.7" chopped mod2 upper, and springco green and A5H2 on my 13.7" SOLGW barreled upper... i could change the springco blues to the "hot white" and run steel cased unsupressed in each upper, currently running wolf gold or PMC bronze everything is 100% with or without the can.

those of you with mini 300s - what kind of range are you able to squeeze out of subs? I’m debating offloading an EoTech and putting the funds towards a Razor, but it feels odd to put a 1-6 on a 8” barrel.

TIA.

300m is as far as I've shot my old 300 MR. Used a Steiner 1-4 and dialed the elevation.

Still need a mount for the Steiner and OKW, but it’s close. I should’ve done this as soon as I got my aem5.

It actually makes the barrel 100% true free floating as the handguard does not touch the barrel nut in any way whatsoever.

Thanks.  Great looking mini.  Gathering parts myself for something similar. Trying to decide between 12.5 vs 14.5 for mine.  Already have the same handguard and my can is in jail.

Anyone know what barrel length would allow a KAC FF RAS Medium to fit flush with an AEM5 similar to the 15.1" seal recce? I've been having trouble finding specifics on this topic, any help is appreciated!

13.0x

D.Wilson or Adco can get it. ADCO can custom make a collar if your barrel is thinner or you can use a Allegheny gas block and a midlength gas system
