- fill 'em in with appropriate coloured paint, wipe off excess
or - use appropriate coloured grease pencil, wipe off excess or - use appropriate coloured paint stick (actually made for filling in letters/numbers, works same as grease pencils) |

Brownell's sells colored lacquer sticks in red, white, and other colors to highlight the
engraving. I am going to order a couple myself today. Go to Brownell's website and do a keyword search for lacquer. |

crayola crayons work good too. Thats what I used to do this
 Havent tried doing it to an AR's letters yet, I'm sure it would probably turn out similar. |

I use Testor Model paint on mine and it does not wear off at all. I used crayon before but it all melted off my Sig and Glock after about 50 rnds each. I just have my AR done now.

SPRAY PAINT!
  Spray the paint onto a paper plate. Dab a Q-tip into the paint on the plate. Then dab the Q-tip onto the weapon. Remove excess paint after a few minutes with a clean patch that has just a hint of Hoppe’s No. 9 on it. It’s probably a few more steps than anyone wants to take, but most everyone has the stuff around the house. |
